Consenting to Land being taken for the Purposes of a Stop-
bak in the River District as defined by the Waihau and
Ohinemuri Rivers Improvement Act, 1910.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighteenth day
of August, 1913.
Present:
His EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by the Public Works Act, 1908; it is, in
section fifteen thereof, inter alia, enacted that,
except for the purposes of a railway or for defence purposes,
or for the purposes of any other public work to be made
under the authority of a special Act, there shall not be
taken any land occupied by any building, yard, garden,
orchard, or vineyard, or in bona fide occupation as an
ornamental park or pleasure-ground, without the previous
consent of the Governor in Council:
And whereas the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken under the said Act for a public work:
And whereas the said land is occupied by buildings, and it is
expedient to give such consent as aforesaid:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl
of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon
me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Waihou and
Obinemuri Rivers Improvement Act, 1910, and acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, do hereby consent to the land
described in the Schedule hereto being taken for the
purposes of a stopbank as aforesaid.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in
him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other
powers in anyway enabling him in this behalf, His Excel-
lency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and
declare that the portions of roads described in the Schedule
hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council,
become county roads.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Havelock
Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighteenth day
of August, 1913.
Present:
His EXCELLENCE THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section forty-seven of the Public Reserves
and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed "the
said Act"), it is enacted that the Governor may from time
to time, by Order in Council gazetted, appoint any local
authority to be the Domain Board having, subject to the
said Act, control of any public domain :
And whereas by an Order in Council made on the eighth
day of May, one thousand nine hundred and six, and pub-
lished in the New Zealand Gazette of the seventeenth day of
May, one thousand nine hundred and six, powers were dele-
gated to the Havelock Domain Board, in respect of the
Havelock Domain, for a period of seven years :
And whereas the period for which the said Board was
appointed expired on the seventh day of May, one thousand
nine hundred and thirteen :
And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a
Domain Board to control the domain :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Do-
minion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred
by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and con-
sent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth
hereby appoint
THE HAVELOCK NORTH TOWN BOARD
to be the Havelock Domain Board, having the control of
the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of
and subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and
doth hereby appoint Friday, the twenty-sixth day of Septem-
ber, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, at half past
seven o'clock p.m., as the time when, and the Town Board
Office, Havelock North, as the place where, the first meeting
of the Board shall be hold.
SCHEDULE.
HAVELOCK DOMAIN.
ALL that area in the Hawke's Bay Land District, containing
by admeasurement 4 acres 3 roods 10 perches, more or less,
being Section No. 77, Town of Havelock North. Bounded
towards the north-east by Section No. 13 for a distance of
785 links; towards the south-east by Te Mata Road for a
distance of 854 links; towards the south-west by Section
No. 68 for a distance of 450 links; and towards the north-
west by Te Aute Road for a distance of 780 links : be all the
aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated
on the plan marked L. and S. 1269/20A, deposited in the
Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington,
and thereon bordered red.
