Land set apart for Selection.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section seventy-seven of the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Act, 1909, as amended by section twenty-two of the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Amendment Act, 1910, it is, amongst other things, enacted that in no case shall any moneys be expended under the provisions of the said section seventy-seven in connection with any block of land unless that block is set apart for selection under that section pursuant to Proclamation in that behalf:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the purposes of the aforesaid Acts, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land described in the Schedule hereto as set apart for selection.

As the same are delineated upon the plan marked as above mentioned, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above noted.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this thirteenth day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and thirteen.

Additional Land at Gisborne taken for the Purposes of the Gisborne-Karaka Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Gisborne-Karaka Railway to take further land at Gisborne, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

ERRATA.—In the Warrant dated 9th July, 1913, and published in Gazette No. 56, of the 17th July, page 2172, temporarily reserving land in Block XIII, Ohura Survey District, for a public cemetery, for “Section 3, Block XIII, Ohura,” in the third line of the Schedule, read “Section 3, Tatu Suburban, Block XIII, Ohura.”

On page 2422, New Zealand Gazette, 14th August, 1913, Appointments to New Zealand Forces Motor Reserve of Officers, for “Major Arthur de Bathe Brandon read “Major Alfred de Bathe Brandon.”
