by the resolution in the Maori Land Board of the district
in which the land is situated; and the land shall there-
upon become subject to Part XIV of that Act, and all
the provisions of that Part shall apply thereto accordingly
in the same manner as if all of that land had been set
aside for leasing in the case of a resolution within the
said paragraph (a), or for sale in the case of a resolution
within the said paragraph (b):

And whereas by a resolution within the said para-
graph (a) of the said section three hundred and forty-six,
passed by the assembled owners and duly confirmed by
the Ikaroa District Maori Land Board, it was resolved that
the land set out in the Schedule hereto be vested in the
Ikaroa District Maori Land Board under Part XIV of the
said Act: And whereas it is expedient that the said land
should be so vested:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the
powers in this behalf vested in him by the aforesaid sec-
tion three hundred and fifty-two, His Excellency the
Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
thereof, doth hereby vest the land specified in the Sche-
dule hereto in the Ikaroa District Maori Land Board for
leasing, under the provisions of Part XIV of the Native
Land Act, 1909.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this eleventh day
of August, 1913.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by the Public Works Act, 1908, it is, in
section fifteen thereof, inter alia, enacted that, ex-
cept for the purpose of a railway or defence purposes, or for
the purposes of any other work to be made under the
authority of a special Act, nothing in this Act contained
shall authorize the taking of any land occupied by any
building, yard, garden, or vineyard, or in bona fide occupa-
tion as an ornamental park or pleasure-ground, without the
previous consent of the Governor in Council:

And whereas part of the land described in the Schedule
hereto is occupied by an orchard or garden, and the Minister
of Public Works has recommended the Governor to issue
an Order in Council under the said Act consenting to the
taking of the said land for the purposes of a road in Block
X, Ngamatea Survey District:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the above-
in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise
enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor
of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, doth hereby consent to the land described in
the Schedule hereto being taken for the purposes above
mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured
as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the
Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington
Provincial District.

Declaring Roads in Blocks III, Tuapeka West, and 1,
Beaumont Survey Districts, to be County Roads.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in
him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other
powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excel-
lency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and
declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule
hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council,
become county roads.

SCHEDULE.

All in the Otago Land District; as the same are more par-
ticularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as
above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Minister
