Altitude, 650 ft. to 1,300 ft. above sea-level. Undulating to hilly land; mostly fern and manuka scrub, with about 50 acres of light mixed forest comprising tawhero, rewarewa, and a few totara. Light soil, pumice in places, on sandstone formation; well watered by the Mangokewa and other streams. Situated six miles and a half from Kopaki Railway-station by surveyed road, on the Main Trunk Line, 139 miles south of Auckland. A Native horse-track between Puketutu and Ahoroa runs through the section.
