Situated about six miles from Kennington Post-office. Generally level land, with fair soil; swampy in places. All worked-out sawmill areas, with some scattered pines and kamahi. Access by good gravelled road to within two miles and a half of sections, thence by partly formed road.

Opening Settlement Lands in Wellington Land District for Selection.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the settlement lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Wednesday, the twenty-fourth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, at the rentals mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said lands shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Acts.

Weighted with £522 for improvements (on Section 48), comprising six-roomed house, shed, fencing, &c.

Situated in the northern portion of the Normandale Settlement on the hills near Lower Hutt Railway-station. The access is from this station, which is about two miles distant by metalled dray-road. The sections, which are in grass with the exception of a few clumps of scrub, comprise hilly land chiefly, with small areas of flat and sloping land along Korokoro Stream in Section 41, and gently sloping land in Sections 47, 48, and 49. Soil fair. Elevation ranges from about 400 ft. to 1,500 ft. above sea-level.

Land temporarily reserved for Landing Purposes in the Parish of Apata, Auckland Land District.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned ;
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for landing purposes.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood, more or less, being Allotment No. 215, Apata Parish. Bounded towards the north-east by the Aoangatete River; towards the south-east by Allotment No. 140, Apata Parish, 290 links; towards the south-west by a public road 100 links wide, 445 links; and towards the north-west by Allotment No. 214 of the aforesaid parish, 300 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1912/1480, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
