And whereas the period for which the said Board was appointed expired on the twelfth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen :
And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the domain :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

PERCY HAWKINS JOHNSTON,
HAMILTON MCILRAITH, and
JAMES SEYMOUR
to be the Kowai Pass Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the second day of August, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Pavilion, Springfield, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.
SCHEDULE.
KOWAI PASS DOMAIN.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 100 acres, more or less, being Reserve No. 1252 (in red), situate in Block XII, Kowai Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north by Rural Section 9256; towards the north-east by Rural Sections 23135, 32259, 22716, and 37071; towards the south-east by Rural Sections 22387 and 14381; towards the south-west by the road and railway reserve; and towards the west by the road forming the eastern boundary of Reserve 1248: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1201/18A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

WHEREAS by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to Part II of the said Act, control of such domain :
And whereas by an Order in Council made on the twenty-ninth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and three, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the second day of July, one thousand nine hundred and three, certain powers were delegated to the Leithfield Domain Board for a period of ten years :
And whereas the period for which the said Board was appointed expired on the twenty-eighth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen :
And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the domain :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the power conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

LEITHFIELD DOMAIN.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres, more or less, being Reserve No. 2777 (in red), situate in Block IX, Teviotdale Survey District, commencing at a point the same being the junction of North Road and Cross Street; thence bounded towards the north by Cross Street, 315·1 links; towards the east by Terrace Road, 542·6 and 125·4 links respectively; towards the south by Section 52 of Reserve 89, 918 links; and towards the west by North Road, 462·2 and 481·3 links respectively, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
Also all that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 46 acres, more or less, being Reserve No. 3595 (in red), situate in Block IX, Teviotdale Survey District. Bounded towards the north by the road reserve along the south bank of the Kowai River; towards the south-east by the road reserve along the high-water mark of the ocean; towards the south-west by the King’s Road; and towards the north-west by Rural Sections 22380 and 28315; as the several parcels of land are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1303/18A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
