Notice of Intention to take Land in Blocks XI, Waipu, and II, Mangawai Survey Districts, for Road Purposes.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road in Blocks XI, Waipu, and II, Mangawai Survey Districts, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken.
And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Waipu, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington.

Revoking Prohibition of Money-order and Postal Correspondence for Barnett and Grant, Christchurch.
THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, being satisfied that the firm whose name and address are shown in the Schedule hereunder is no longer engaged in receiving money as the consideration for an assurance or agreement implied to pay money on events relating to horse-races, hereby rescinds the order made on the 30th day of April, 1913, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 8th day of May, 1913, in so far as it forbids that any money-order in favour of the said firm shall be issued, and that any postal packet addressed to the said firm (either by its own or any fictitious or assumed name) shall be registered, forwarded, or delivered by the Post Office of New Zealand, and orders that such money-orders shall be issued, and that such postal packets shall be registered forwarded, and delivered, in the usual course.
And the Postmaster-General hereby declares that the remainder of such order made on the 30th day of April, 1913, and published as aforesaid shall continue in full force and virtue.

IT is hereby notified that, pursuant to the provisions of the Plumbers Registration Act, 1912, and the Regulations thereunder, the undermentioned persons have been elected as members of the Plumbers’ Board of New Zealand by the Federated Association of Masters Plumbers and the Federated Association of Journeymen Plumbers respectively :—

Bonus for the Production of Quicksilver.

Wellington, 18th April, 1912.
NOTICE is hereby given that a bonus of fourpence (4d.) per pound will be paid on the production of the first one hundred thousand pounds weight (100,000 lb.) of good marketable retorted quicksilver, free from all impurities, from any mine in New Zealand, on the following conditions, that is to say :—

That at least one-third of the quantity is produced on or before the 31st March, 1914, and the remaining two-thirds on or before the 31st March, 1915.

No bonus will be payable until the whole of the one hundred thousand pounds (100,000 lb.) of quicksilver has been produced as stipulated to the satisfaction of an officer to be appointed by the Minister of Mines, and on whose certificate alone the bonus will be paid.

In the event of more than one person producing the required quantities of quicksilver before the dates named, inquiry will be made by the officer above referred to, when, if it is found that each applicant is equally entitled to a bonus, the amount will be divided in proportion to the quantities produced by each applicant, but in no case shall any bonus be paid until at least one hundred thousand pounds (100,000 lb.) of quicksilver has been produced in the aggregate.
