If the declaration be not at hand at the time of the arrival
of the nursery stock at the port of entry, the stock may be
delivered to the importer, consignee, or agent for the proper
care thereof on the same conditions as are set forth in Regula-
tion 4 for the delivery of the stock in case the permit is not
at hand at the time of the arrival of the same at the port of
entry.

Regulation 11.—Marking of Packages.

Packages containing nursery stock which arrive not marked
according to the law will not be delivered until they shall
have been so marked under Customs supervision and at the
expense of the importers.

Appointing Wednesday as the Statutory Closing-day in the
Separate District of the Borough of Feilding.

WHEREAS by section 17 of the Shops and Offices Act,
1908, it is enacted that the result of every poll taken
in any separate or combined district under the authority of
that section shall be notified to the Minister of Labour in
the manner therein provided, and the Minister shall there-
upon appoint the day determined by the result of such poll
as the statutory closing-day for that district :

And whereas the Town Clerk of the Borough of Feilding
has notified to me that the result of the poll taken in the
separate district of the Borough of Feilding is in favour of
Wednesday as the statutory closing-day in that separate
district :

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers in this behalf
conferred on me by the said section 17, I, William Ferguson
Massey, the Minister of Labour, do hereby appoint Wednesday
as the statutory closing-day in the separate district of the
Borough of Feilding.

This notice takes effect from the 1st day of June, 1913,
and continues in force until another day is appointed by a
similar poll. (Section 17 (11).)

Permits to import Opium.

to import opium in forms which though not suitable for
smoking may be made suitable have been granted to the

Notice of Intention to take Land in Blocks VI and VII,
Kawhia North Survey District, Kawhia County, for Scenic
Purposes.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the
provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, the
Scenery Preservation Act, 1909, and the Scenery Preser-
vation Amendment Act, 1910, to take the land described
in the Schedule hereto for scenic purposes.

And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the
land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office
at Kawhia, and is there open for inspection; and that
all persons affected by the taking of the said land should,
if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of
such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such
writing, within forty days from the first publication of this
notice, to the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington.
