FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order abolishing the Road Districts in the Franklin County and merging them in the County of Franklin.

IN exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 31 of the Counties Act, 1908, the Franklin County Council resolve by special order that the following road districts be abolished and merged in the Franklin County as from 15th May, 1913: Hunua Road District, Pollok Road District, and Waipipi Road District.

The above special order was duly made by the Franklin County Council at a special meeting on the 3rd day of April, 1913, and was duly confirmed at the ordinary meeting of the Council on the 8th day of May, 1913; and was publicly notified in the Pukekohe and Waiuku Times on the 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th April, 1913.

Resolutions made by the Waiuku Road Board.

THE following resolutions, made by the Waiuku Road Board, are published in accordance with the provisions of the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Amendment Act, 1912.

WAIUKU ROAD BOARD.

Resolution making a Special Rate on a Loan of £725 for metalling the Quarry–Campbell–Barnaby Roads, Waiuku Road District.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Waiuku Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also of other charges on a loan of £725, authorized to be raised by the Waiuku Road Board, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, for metalling the Quarry–Campbell–Barnaby Roads (such loan to be allocated as follows—£625 for metalling the Quarry–Barnaby Road, £50 for metalling Campbell Road, and £50 for metalling Deeds Road: £725), the said Waiuku Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 13/18d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all the rateable property within the Quarry–Campbell–Barnaby Roads Special-rating Area, being a portion of the Waiuku Road District, and comprised within the following boundaries:—

Commencing at a point in the road at the south-east corner of part 7 of Sections 1, 2, 44, and following the south-east boundary of the said part section to its intersection with Section 44, and thence westerly following the north-west boundaries of Sections 44, 45, and 3; thence southerly along the western boundary of Section 3 to a road crossing the said road at this point into part Section 4, and following the western boundaries of part Section 4 (occupied by S. Bright and S. T. Rossiter) to the north-east corner of part 9 of Section 4; thence westerly along the northern boundary of part 9 of Section 4 to a road; thence south-easterly along the said road to the south corner of Section 9; thence generally in an easterly direction along the southern boundaries of Sections 9, 41, 42, 43; thence northerly along the eastern boundary of Section 43 to a road; thence along the said road in a west-by-north direction to the point of commencement at the south-east corner of part 7 of Sections 1, 2, 44, being part of the Waiuku East Parish and of Block III of Maioro Survey District.

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of August and the 1st day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off, the rate of interest on the said loan to be 4½ per centum per annum.

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly made and passed at a duly constituted special meeting of the Waiuku Road Board held the 26th day of April, 1913, and in accordance with the several statutes relating thereto.

WAIUKU ROAD BOARD.

Resolution making a Special Rate on a Loan of £40, being Ten per Centum additional on a Loan of £400 authorized to be raised for metalling the Unfinished Portions of the Waiuku–Drury Road from Camerons Hill to Packington Hall Corner.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Waiuku Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also of other charges on a loan of £40, authorized to be raised by the Waiuku Road Board, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, being an amount equal to 10 per centum on the original sum of £400 raised by the said Board for metalling the unfinished portions of the Waiuku–Drury Road from Cameron’s Hill to Packington Hall corner, such original sum being found insufficient to complete the said works, the said Waiuku Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/48 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all the rateable property within the boundaries of the Waiuku–Drury Road Special-rating Area, being a portion of the Waiuku Road District, and comprised within the following boundaries:—

Commencing at the south corner of Section 47, and following the eastern boundary of Section 47 in a northerly direction to a point opposite the south corner of Section 53, crossing a road at the said point, and proceeding in an easterly direction along the southern boundaries of Sections 53, 54, 55 to the south-east corner of Section 55; thence northerly along the eastern boundary of Section 55 to a road, crossing the road to Section 56; thence easterly along the road to the south-east corner of Section 56; thence northerly along the eastern boundaries of Sections 56, 57, crossing a road, and following the eastern boundaries of Sections 137, 136, and the western boundary of K of Section 130 to a road, thence crossing the road and proceeding along the south boundary of part Section 130 (occupied by H. M. Lowe); thence northerly along the eastern boundary of the said property to a point in the western boundary of the eastern portion of Section 130; thence in a north-west direction along the western boundary of the eastern portion of part Section 130 to a point in the western boundary of Section 151; thence easterly to the south corner of Section 151 to a road; thence easterly along the road to the junction of roads at the east corner of Section 153 and a line produced to intersect the boundary-line of the Mauku and Waiuku Road Districts; thence generally in a northerly direction following the boundary-line dividing the Mauku and Waiuku Road Districts to the Taihiki River at the northern corner of Section 104; thence westerly along the south bank of the Taihiki River to the Waiuku Estuary; thence southerly along its eastern bank to a point in Taylor’s Creek at Section 48; thence along the western boundary of Section 48 to a road, crossing the road, to the western boundary of Section 47, and thence along its western boundary to the point of commencement at the south corner of Section 47, being parts of the Parishes of Awitu and Waiuku East, and portions of the Awitu, Drury, and Maioro Survey Districts.

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of August and the 1st day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off; the rate of interest on the said loan to be 4½ per centum per annum.
