Opening Lands in Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Monday, the twenty-eighth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, at the rentals mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said lands shall be leased under and subject to section one hundred and thirty-five of the said Act, as they contain, or are supposed to contain, metal, mineral, or valuable stone.

Kawhia County.—Kawhia North Survey District.

Altitude, from 1 ft. to 200 ft. above sea-level. Fern and manuka country; level to slightly broken. Soil of inferior quality, on sandstone formation; well watered by small stream and swamp. Access is by launch from Kawhia, eight miles distant.

Opening Land in Southland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Wednesday, the twenty-third day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, at the rental mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said land shall be leased under and subject to section one hundred and thirty-five of the said Act, as it contains, or is supposed to contain, metal, mineral, or valuable stone.

Open land; soil light; partly covered with light tussock and fern and partly surface sown; rather broken, about 130 acres ploughable. Situated two miles and a quarter from Brydone Railway-station, school, and dairy factory, and six miles and a quarter from Edendale. Access by gravelled road to within 20 chains, thence by fair summer road.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this seventeenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen.

Opening National Endowment Lands in Auckland Land District for Selection.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the national endowment lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Monday, the twenty-eighth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, at the rentals mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said lands shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Act.

Altitude, 300 ft. to 400 ft. above sea-level. Flat and undulating land, covered with fern and manuka, and some swamp. Soil of a light nature, on sandstone formation; well watered by swampy stream. Fronts Waihi—Beach Road, two miles and one-third from Waihi by formed dray-road, metalled for a mile and a half.
Ohinemuri County.—Aroha Survey District.

Altitude, 325 ft. to 450 ft. above sea-level. Flat and undulating fern and scrub land, with some swamp. Soil of a light nature, on sandstone formation; watered by swampy streams. Fronts Waihi—Beach Road, three miles and a half from Waihi by formed road, of which a mile and a half is metalled.
Awakino County.—Whareorino Survey District.

Altitude, 300 ft. to 900 ft. above sea-level. Steep broken country, covered with heavy mixed forest comprising tawa, rata, rimu, towai, miro, &c., with thick undergrowth of kiekie, supplejack, and ferns. Soil of medium quality, on sandstone formation; well watered by streams. Situated twenty three miles from Awakino, twelve miles of which is by cart-road, remainder 6 ft. track.
Tauranga County.—Tahawai Parish.

Altitude, 60 ft. to 100 ft. above sea-level. Undulating land, covered with fern and manuka scrub. Clay soil of fair quality, on sandstone formation; fairly watered by spring. Distant three miles and a half from Katikati by formed road.

Additional Regulations for the Military Forces of the Dominion of New Zealand.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the Defence Act, 1909, the Defence Amendment Act, 1910, and the Defence Amendment Act, 1912, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby make the regulations set forth in the Schedule hereto; and I do hereby declare that such regulations shall come into force on the seventeenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen.

HONORARY AIDES-DE-CAMP TO THE GOVERNOR.

94A. Officers not exceeding six in number, two from the Permanent Force and four from the Territorial Force, may be appointed as Honorary Aides-de-Camp to the Governor
