Trustees for the Owhango Public Cemetery appointed.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the fourth section of the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the several persons whose names are specified in Part I of the Schedule hereto to have the control and management of the public cemetery specified in Part II of the said Schedule.

PART II.
Name of Public Cemetery and Description of Land.
OWHANGO.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres, more or less, being Section 48, Block X, Hunua Survey District. Commencing at a point on the main road 75·4 links, on a bearing of 226° 44' from traverse peg marked XVIIIA, and bounded towards the south-east by the Main Road, 947·5 links; towards the south by Crown land, 536·4 links; and towards the north-west generally by the Main Trunk Railway, 515·5 links and 639·3 links, to the place of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on a plan marked L. and S. 1705/14, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Regulations for the Military Forces of the Dominion of New Zealand revoked and amended.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the Defence Act, 1909, the Defence Amendment Act, 1910, and the Defence Amendment Act, 1912, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke and amend, in the manner and to the extent set forth in the Schedule hereto, such of the regulations for the Military Forces of the Dominion of New Zealand, made on the fifth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the same date, and also make the additional regulation as set forth in the said Schedule; and I do hereby declare that such revocation shall take effect, and such amendment and regulation shall come into force, on the twenty-ninth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen.
SCHEDULE.
CHAPLAINS : ARRANGEMENTS FOR CAMPS.
- REGULATION 597 is hereby revoked and the following regulation substituted in lieu thereof:-
Provided that there are at least fifty of his denomination present in camp, one Chaplain of each denomination shown in the Army List will be appointed for duty at every statutory camp, and will be entitled to pay according to rank as classed in the New Zealand Army List, and allowances as for Territorial officers—viz., 4s. per diem for messing whilst in camp, and travelling-allowance while going to and from same.
This will not preclude other Chaplains from attending camps, but these will not be entitled to pay, allowances, or rations.
The Chaplains entitled to draw pay, &c., at each camp will be selected by the Senior Chaplain of each denomination in each military district.
EXEMPTIONS FROM PERSONAL SERVICE.
- The following additional regulation is made:—
Paragraph 427A. A member of the Military Forces desirous of obtaining exemption from personal service on the grounds that undue hardship is caused by the requirements of such service (section 32 (n), Defence Amendment Act, 1912), will first give fourteen days' notice to the officer commanding his unit, and at the expiration of that period
the applicant will make written application to the nearest Magistrates' Court.
The officer commanding the unit will inquire into the merits of each case, and within the fourteen days will notify the Clerk of the Magistrates' Court whether he recommends or intends to oppose the application.

Land at Belmont declared to be a Sanctuary for Imported and Native Game.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
PURSUANT to the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, do hereby notify and declare that the area described in the Schedule hereto, comprising lands the property of the Belmont Land Company (Limited) and Dr. H. W. M. Kendall respectively, shall be a sanctuary for the purposes of the said Animals Protection Act, and that no imported game or native game shall be taken or killed within the said area.
SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE PROCLAIMED A GAME SANCTUARY.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 981 acres 3 roods 6 perches, more or less, being Sections Nos. 202 and 203 and parts of Sections Nos. 60 and 187, Block IX, Belmont Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Sections Nos. 257, 256, and 255, Block III, and Section No. 200A, Block IV, Belmont Survey District; towards the south-east generally by the Western Hutt Road, by the abutment of Liverton Road, and again by the Western Hutt Road; towards the south generally by Sections Nos. 57 and 425, Block IX, Belmont Survey District; and towards the west generally by Speedy's Stream to the place of commencement.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this sixth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen.

Constable JAMES JOHN SPARKS to be an Inspector of Weights and Measures under the Weights and Measures Act, 1908, for the Counties of Geraldine, Levels, and Mackenzie, and the Boroughs of Geraldine, Temuka, and Timaru, vice Constable William John Pardy.
