NOTICE is hereby given that the lease of the undermentioned land having been forfeited by resolution of the Otago Land Board, the said land has thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given that written tenders for a lease of the undermentioned reserve on the terms and conditions set forth hereunder will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, up to 12 o'clock noon on Friday, the 9th May, 1913, under the provisions of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908.

LOCALITY AND DESCRIPTION.
Reserve 3214 is situated in Block VII, Cheviot Survey District, about a mile and a half from the Township of Mackenzie. It is good limestone grazing-land, 14 acres have been cultivated, and there is water on the section.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF LEASE.

Tenders should be addressed to the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Christchurch, and indorsed on the outside “Tender for Lease of Reserve.” Six months’ rent at the rate offered, together with £1 1s. lease fee, must accompany each tender.

Possession will be given on the day of acceptance of tender.

The lease will be for a term of seven years.

The Commissioner of Crown Lands may at any time resume possession of the land comprised in the lease, or any portion thereof, by giving to the lessee twelve months’ notice in writing of his intention so to do.

The lessee shall have no right to compensation either for any improvements that may be placed upon the land or on account of the aforesaid resumption, or for any other cause.

The lessee shall have no right to sublet, transfer, or otherwise dispose of the whole or any portion of the land comprised in the lease, except with the written consent of the Commissioner of Crown Lands first had and obtained.

The land shall be used for grazing purposes only, and shall not be broken up or cropped without the written consent of the Commissioner of Crown Lands first had and obtained.

The lessee shall destroy all rabbits on the land, and shall prevent their increase or spread, to the satisfaction of the Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The lessee shall prevent the growth and spread of gorse, broom, and sweetbriar on the land comprised in the lease, and he shall with all reasonable despatch remove, or cause to be removed, all gorse, sweetbriar, broom, or other noxious weeds or plants, as may be directed by the Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The rent shall be payable half-yearly in advance, free from all deductions whatsoever.

The lease shall be liable to forfeiture in case the lessee shall fail to fulfil any of the conditions of the said lease within thirty days after the date on which the same ought to have been fulfilled.

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 326 of the Land Act, 1908, that the undermentioned land will be disposed of under the provisions of section 14 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1912, on and after Friday, the 11th day of July, 1913.
