CITY OF AUCKLAND.
Special Order increasing the Number of Councillors.
RESOLVED, That the Auckland City Council doth hereby, by special resolution intended to operate as a special order, resolve that the total number of members of the Council shall be increased from fifteen to eighteen, exclusive of the Mayor.
The common seal of the body corporate of the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Auckland was affixed hereto this 3rd day of April, 1913.

The above special order was duly made by the Auckland City Council at a special meeting on the 6th day of March, 1913, and was duly confirmed at the ordinary meeting of the said Council on the 3rd day of April, 1913; and was publicly notified in the New Zealand Herald on the 13th, 17th, 24th, and 31st March, 1913, in the Auckland Star on the 7th, 14th, 22nd, and 28th March, 1913, and in the Auckland Free Press on the 8th day of March, 1913.

Special Order made by the Milton Borough Council abolishing Subdivisions and fixing Representation.

THE following special order, made by the Milton Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908.

MILTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
THAT, in pursuance of the powers vested in it by section 125 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, the Milton Borough Council hereby by special order resolves as follows:—
(1.) That the present subdivisions of the Borough of Milton into three wards be abolished, and that in lieu thereof the said borough be an undivided borough, and the number of Councillors for the undivided borough be fixed at nine.
(2.) That if the said proposal be carried, the alteration shall take effect on and after the 30th day of April, 1913, and the Councillors to be elected in that month shall be elected for the undivided borough.
The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Milton was hereto affixed in the presence of—

Special Order made by the St. Kilda Borough Council abolishing Subdivisions and fixing Representation.

THE following special order, made by the St. Kilda Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908.

ST. KILDA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
PURSUANT to the provisions of subsection (2) of section 125 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, notice is hereby published that the following special order, namely,—
That, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 125 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, the St. Kilda Borough Council resolves, by way of special order, that all subdivisions of the Borough of St. Kilda be abolished on and after the 8th day of April, 1913, and that the number of Councillors for the undivided borough be fixed at ten—
was passed at a special meeting of the St. Kilda Borough Council held at the Council offices situate in Prince Albert Road, St. Kilda, on Tuesday, the 11th day of March, 1913, and confirmed at a special meeting of the said Council held at the said offices on Tuesday, the 8th day of April, 1913, public notice, as required by subsection (c) of section 65 of the said Act, having been duly given once in each full week intervening between the two meetings in the Evening Star newspaper, Dunedin, on the 15th, 22nd, and 29th March, and on the 5th and 7th April.

THE following resolution, made by the Taumarunui Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Amendment Act, 1912.

TAUMARUNUI BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Resolution making Special Rate.
WHEREAS the Taumarunui Borough Council has been authorized by the ratepayers to borrow £2,180 (the said £2,180 being 10 per cent. on the original loan of £21,845) for the purpose of completing roads, water, drainage, and land acquisition, and the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Board has provisionally approved the application for such loan at the rate of £5 1s. per centum per annum, including principal and interest: And whereas the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Office Superintendent is unable to advance such loan (namely, £2,180) at the said rate of interest, but can advance the same at the rate of £5 6s. 6d. per centum per annum, including principal and interest:
Now, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Taumarunui Borough Council hereby resolves: That, for the purpose of providing moneys sufficient to cover the interest and sinking fund in respect of such loan (namely, £2,180), the said Taumarunui Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Taumarunui; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until such loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Taumarunui Borough Council at a meeting held on the 1st day of April, 1913.
