surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Otago Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for a public recreation-ground.

SCHEDULE.
All that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 3 roods, more or less, being Sections 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 22 to 27 (inclusive), Block II, Town of Hills Creek. Bounded towards the north-east by Main Street, 400 links ; towards the south-east by Section 7 of aforesaid block, 250 links ; again towards the north-east by said Section 7, 100 links ; towards the north-west by said Section 7, 250 links ; again towards the north-east by Main Street, 100 links ; again towards the south-east by Sections 5 and 28 of aforesaid block, 500 links ; towards the south-west by Middle Street, 600 links ; and again towards the north-west by Sections 21 and 12 of aforesaid block, 500 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less : as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4021/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Notifying Lands in Auckland Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Friday, the twenty-fifth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, as the time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction ; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

Opening Lands in Nelson Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Wednesday, the ninth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, at the rentals mentioned in the said Schedule ; and I do also declare that the said lands shall be leased under and subject to section one hundred and thirty-five of the said Act, as they contain, or are supposed to contain, metal, mineral, or valuable stone.

Situated about twenty-one miles from Reefton and about thirty miles from Westport by main and branch Creek Roads and by-road. Fronting Rough Creek. Altitude, from about 230 ft. to 670 ft. Forest ; hilly and flats ; inferior soil, on sandstone ; coal formation. Timber, about 500 ft. of kahikatea, 1,500 ft. of rimu, and 600 ft. of brown-birch per acre ; also some totara, miro, and cedar, and a considerable amount of small timber. Well watered.
MURCHISON COUNTY.—MARUIA SURVEY DISTRICT.

About 50 acres flat and gentle slope, balance steep hills ; all bush, mostly red and brown birch, with some pine and rimu ; well watered. Situated eighteen miles from Murchison by formed road.

The land varies from inferior to very good ; mostly bush, brown and silver birch ; well watered by permanent streams ; 60 acres open, in native grass and scrub. Thirty miles from Reefton by formed road ; fifty-two miles from Murchison, by formed road forty-five miles and bridle-track seven miles.

Mostly portion of a flat-topped terrace rising gradually to the main range ; suitable for pastoral purposes. Bush rather small on top, and composed of rimu, miro, kamahi, silver, brown, and black birch. Formation clay and granite gravel on papa. There is a little flat land along the south-western boundary up Kimberley Creek. Distant about six miles from Karamea, about three miles and a half being dray-road and about two miles and a half gravelled bridle-track.
