A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Kaipara-Waikato Railway to take further land between Westfield and Otahuhu, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

Chatham Islands to be a District within which Liquor is not to be supplied to Maoris.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section forty-three of the Licensing Amendment Act, 1910, it is enacted that the Governor may proclaim any part or parts of New Zealand as districts in which the provisions of the said section shall apply, and may at any time revoke or vary any such Proclamation:

And whereas it is expedient to proclaim that part of the Dominion of New Zealand known as the Chatham Islands as a district wherein the provisions of the said section forty-three shall apply:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section forty-three of the Licensing Amendment Act, 1910, do hereby proclaim that part of the Dominion of New Zealand known as the Chatham Islands as a district wherein the provisions of the said section forty-three of the Licensing Amendment Act, 1910, shall apply.

Amending Regulations for the Election of Members of Harbour Boards.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of February, 1913.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the twenty-seventh day of February, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, and the twenty-fourth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, respectively, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 16, of the second day of March, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, and No. 60, of the fourth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, respectively, regulations were made for the election of members of Harbour Boards:

And whereas it is desirable to vary the said regulations in the manner hereinafter described:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by section thirteen of the Harbours Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following regulation varying the hereinbefore-recited regulations.

REGULATION.

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the hereinbefore-recited regulations, the list of the payers of harbour dues on ships shall, in the case of the Lyttelton Harbour Board for the year 1913, be compiled on or before the 12th day of March, 1913, and shall be open for inspection during office hours on each day from that date until the 19th day of that month, and a special meeting of the Harbour Board shall be held on a day subsequent to the said 19th day of March, 1913, and prior to the 1st day of April following, to adjudicate upon all objections to, or applications for enrolment upon, the said list.
