Appointing Returning Officer, Polling-places, and Fixing Dates for the Election and First Meeting of the Opunake Harbour Board.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased, in exercise of the power conferred upon him by section 6 of the Opunake Harbour Act, 1908, to direct that Monday, the 10th day of March, 1913, shall be the date for the election of the first members of the Opunake Harbour Board, and to appoint the Public Hall, Oaonui; the Egmont County Council Chambers, Opunake; the Public Hall, Pihama; and the Taungatara Dairy Factory, Eltham Road to be the places, and George William Rogers, of Opunake, to be the Returning Officer for such election.
His Excellency has been further pleased, in exercise of the power conferred upon him by section 9 of the Harbours Amendment Act, 1910, to appoint Saturday, the 15th day of March, 1913, at 11.30 a.m., to be the date and time, and the Public Hall, Opunake, to be the place for the first meeting of the Board.

Resurvey of Cape Conway.—East Coast of Australia.
FROM an examination and resurvey of Cape Conway and the adjacent waters by Commander Glennie, of H.M.S. “Sea Lark,” it is hereby notified that the extremity of Cape Conway and the rock marked on chart as being awash at low water are about one-third of a mile east of their respective positions as shown on Chart No. 347. Ripple Rock is correctly charted.

SOUTH AUSTRALIA.
West Coast.
MASTERS of vessels and others are hereby informed that additional marks have been placed as follows:—
Decres Bay.—A black buoy, with staff and diamond head, has been placed in 15 ft. L.W.S. on the N.E. extreme of St. Peter’s Spit, bearing from the northern white ballast beacon N. 40° W. distant 3½ cables.
Approximate position: Lat. 32° 13′ S., long. 133° 42½′ E.
Smoky Bay.—A red buoy, with staff and ball head, has been placed in 15 ft. L.W.S. on the N.E. edge of the 1½-fathom patch N. 54° W. and distant 5½ miles from the Smoky Bay jetty.
Approximate position: Lat. 32° 19′ S., long. 133° 51′ E.
Streaky Bay.—A red buoy, with staff and ball head, has been placed in 14 ft. L.W.S. on the S. side of the bar of the South Channel to mark the deepest water on the crown of the bar. This buoy is one (1) cable W. of the site of the new pile light shortly to be erected, and will be removed on completion of the light.
Approximate position: Lat. 32° 41′ S., long. 134°.10′ E.
Coffins Bay.—Two (2) black cask buoys have been placed in 8 ft. L.W.S. to mark the N.W. and S.W. extremes of the shoals in the centre of the bay. The outer red beacon which disappeared has been replaced by a red buoy, with staff and ball head, in 12 ft. L.W.S.
Approximate position: Lat. 34° 29¾′ S., long. 135° 22½′ E.
These affect Admiralty Charts Nos. 1061 and 2759B.
Gulf St. Vincent.—Port Adelaide River.
Masters of vessels, pilots, and others are hereby informed that on and after the 24th December, 1912, a green light will be exhibited from the black beacon which has hitherto marked the position of Luff Point, Port Adelaide River.
Charts affected: Nos. 2389A and 1752.
