Resolution made by the Council of the County of Geraldine.

THE following resolution, made by the Geraldine County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

GERALDINE COUNTY COUNCIL.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Council of the County of Geraldine hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £2,000, authorized to be raised by the Council of the County of Geraldine, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, for the construction of water-races in that part of the county known as the Te Moana Kakahu Water-race District, the said Council of the County of Geraldine hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅚d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the said Te Moana Kakahu Water-race District, comprising that part of the County of Geraldine which is more particularly described in the Schedule hereto; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.
Schedule.
All that piece of land situated in Blocks IV, VIII, and XII of the Opihi Survey District, and in Blocks V and IX of the Geraldine Survey District, commencing at the north-western corner of Rural Section 23256; thence in a south-westerly direction along the north-western boundary of Rural Section 23256 for a distance of about 12 chains; thence in a south-easterly direction across Rural Sections 23256 and 18665 to a point on the south-eastern boundary of Rural Section 18665 about 12½ chains south-west of the north-eastern corner of Rural Section 18665 (this boundary is to include 50 acres of Rural Sections 23256 and 18665 within the proposed water district); thence in a south-easterly direction square across Carrig’s Road to the north-western boundary of Rural Section 21031; thence going generally south-west and south-east along the western boundary of Rural Section 21031 to the southernmost corner of Rural Section 21031 on Fenn’s Road; thence in a north-easterly direction along the eastern boundary of Rural Section 21031 to the northernmost corner of Reserve 1375; thence in a north-westerly direction for a distance of about 38 chains on a line parallel to the boundary between Rural Sections 21031 and 12317; thence in a north-easterly direction on a line square off the last line till it intersects the northern boundary of Rural Section 21031 (this is to exclude 70 acres of Rural Sections 21031 from the proposed district); thence in a westerly and north-westerly direction along the northern boundaries of Rural Sections 21031, 18665, and 23256 back to the starting-point.
Also commencing at the westernmost corner of Rural Section 12358; thence in a south-easterly direction along the south-western boundary of Rural Section 12358 and this line produced across Rural Section 18798 to the north-western boundaries of Rural Section 10586; thence in a south-westerly direction along the north-western boundary of Rural Section 10586 to the westernmost corner of the said Rural Section 10586; thence in a south-easterly direction along the south-western boundaries of Rural Sections 10586, 10580, and 10398 to the southernmost corner of Rural Section 10398; thence in a south-westerly direction along the south-eastern boundary of Rural Section 20097 to the southernmost corner of Rural Section 20097; thence in a north-westerly direction along the south-western boundary of Rural Section 20097 for a distance of about 18 chains; thence across Rural Section 18500 in a south-westerly direction on a line parallel to the north-western boundary of Rural Section 18500 to Connell’s Road, being the southern boundary of Rural Section 18500; thence in a south-easterly direction along the northern side of Connell’s Road to where the line of the eastern boundary of Rural Section 15816 produced intersects the northern side of the said Connell’s Road; thence in a south-easterly direction across Connell’s Road and along the eastern boundary of Rural Section 15816 to its southernmost corner; thence in a south-easterly direction along the south-western boundary of Rural Section 10703 to the northernmost corner of Rural Section 13791; thence in a southerly direction along the western boundary of Rural Section 13791 and this line produced across Cochrane’s Road to the northern boundary of Rural Section 8317; thence in a south-westerly direction along the southern side of Cochrane’s Road to the north-western corner of Rural Section 8317; thence generally in a southerly direction along the western boundary of Rural Section 8317 to a point about 27 chains south of the northern boundary of Rural Section 8317; thence in an easterly direction parallel to the northern boundary of Rural Section 8317 to the gorse fence alongside the water-race running south through Rural Section 8317; thence in a southerly direction along the line of the said fence to the northern boundary of the eastern part of Lot 2 on deposit plan 795 in the Church-church Land Office; thence in a westerly direction along the said northern boundary of Lot 2, deposited plan 795, to the western boundary of the eastern part of the said Lot 2 (this is to leave 384 acres of the northern part of Rural Section 8317, owned by Mr. R. Skinner, in the proposed water district); thence generally in a southerly direction along the western boundary of the eastern part of Lot 2, deposited plan 795, to Beattie’s Road; thence in a south-easterly and easterly direction along the southern boundaries of Rural Sections 8317, 10736, and 10805 to a point on the southern boundaries of Rural Section 10805 situated 11 chains from Earle’s Road; thence in a northerly direction along the line parallel to Earle’s Road for a distance of about 19 chains; thence in an easterly direction along a line at right angles to Earle’s Road to the eastern boundary of Rural Section 10805 (this is to include 20 acres of Mrs. Guerrin’s property, being the southern part of Rural Section 10805); thence generally north and west along the eastern boundaries of Rural Sections 10805 and 11095, Reserve 1065, Rural Sections 16584 and 19394 to McKenzie’s Road, being the north-eastern corner of Rural Section 19394; thence across McKenzie’s Road and through Rural Section 20336 generally in a northerly and westerly direction to a point on the eastern side of Earle’s Road situated about 44 chains north of McKenzie’s Road (this is to include 40 acres of Rural Section 20336 in the proposed water district); thence in a westerly direction square across Earle’s Road to the eastern boundary of Rural Section 15166; thence in a northerly and north-westerly direction along the eastern boundaries of Rural Sections 15166 and 10565, and across Rural Section 7293 in a line of north-eastern boundary of Rural Section 10565 to the easternmost corner of Rural Section 10398; thence across Speechly’s Road and along the south-eastern and eastern boundaries of Rural Section 10397 to the northernmost point of Rural Section 10397; thence in a south-westerly direction along the north-western boundary of Rural Section 10397 and this line produced across Speechly’s Road to the north-eastern boundary of Rural Section 10398; thence in a north-westerly direction along the north-eastern boundaries of Rural Sections 10398, 10580, 10586, and 10620 to the north-eastern corner of Rural Section 10620; thence in a south-westerly direction along the north-western boundaries of Rural Sections 10620 and 12358 back to the starting-point.
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Geraldine was hereunto affixed at the meeting of the Council of the said County of Geraldine on the 16th day of January, 1913, by George James Dennistoun, Chairman of the said Council, in pursuance of a resolution of the said Council, in the presence of—

Notice of Result of Poll on Loan.
I HEREBY give notice that on the 12th day of February, 1913, a proposal was submitted by the City Council of Dunedin to the ratepayers of the said city for raising a special loan of £7,500 for the purpose of constructing public tepid swimming-baths, with the necessary buildings, plant, and fittings for the same, and that the number of votes recorded respectively
