Notice respecting Proposed Alteration in Boundaries of City of Auckland and Borough of Mount Eden.
Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 12th February, 1913.
Pursuant to section 118 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor directs it to be notified that a petition in accordance with regulations, signed by not less than one-fourth of the electors of the area described in the Schedule hereto, has been presented to him, praying that the said area may be excluded from the Borough of Mount Eden and included in the City of Auckland. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration within one month from the first publication of this notice. Such objections or petitions are to be addressed and forwarded to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
AREA PROPOSED TO BE EXCLUDED FROM THE BOROUGH OF MOUNT EDEN AND TO BE INCLUDED IN THE CITY OF AUCKLAND.
All that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north generally by the City of Auckland from the south-eastern corner of Original Allotment No. 2 of Section No. 10, Suburbs of Auckland, to the northernmost corner of Allotment No. 105 of Section No. 6, Suburbs of Auckland (Gaol Reserve); thence towards the north-east by the north-eastern boundary-lines of Allotments Nos. 105 and 106 of the said Section No. 6 to the north-eastern corner of the said Lot No. 106; thence towards the east by the eastern boundary-lines of Allotments Nos. 106 and 107 of the said Section No. 6 to the south-eastern corner of the said Lot No. 107; thence towards the south generally by the south-eastern boundary-line of Allotments Nos. 107 and 108 of Section No. 6 aforesaid and the last-mentioned boundary-line produced to and across Mount Eden Road, by the western side of that road to and across the Terrace Road, by the northern side of The Terrace Road to the northern side of View Road, by the northern side of the last-mentioned road to and across Mount Roskill Road, by the western side of Mount Roskill Road to the northern side of George Street West, and by that side to the Borough of Mount Albert; and thence towards the north-west generally by that borough and by the Eden Terrace Road District as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 42, of the 18th May, 1883, to the place of commencement.

Special Order made by the Council of the Borough of Napier.

The following special order, made by the Napier Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

NAPIER BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Special Order making a Special Rate as Security for a Special Loan.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporation Act, 1908, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and their respective amendments, the Napier Borough Council hereby by way of special order resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £2,500, authorized to be raised by the said Napier Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of completing the erection of a municipal building, comprising theatre, hall, and municipal offices, with such additional accommodation for the purposes of public entertainment as may be proper, including the cost of acquiring a site, if necessary, the said Napier Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 4d. in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Napier, comprising the whole of the said borough; and that such special rate be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan; being a period of thirty-two years or thereabouts, or until the loan is fully paid off.
Made by special order passed at a special meeting of the Napier Borough Council duly held on the 6th day of November, 1912, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting of the said Council held on the 4th day of December, 1912.

Mangatoki Riding Loan.—Resolution making Special Rate for Repayment of Loan.
Whereas the Eltham County Council has been authorized by the ratepayers to borrow £30,000 for the purpose of grading, forming, widening, extending metal, and constructing culverts on the following roads in the Mangatoki Riding of the County of Eltham, namely:—
