COUNTY OF WAITOMO.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.
In the matter of the Counties Act, 1908, and the Public Works Act, 1908.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the County of Waitomo proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute certain public works—namely, the construction and establishment of a quarry and a machine-site—and for the purposes respectively of such public works the parcel of land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the said parcel of land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said Council, situate in Taupiri Street, Te Kuiti, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public works or by the taking of such land, who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public works or to the taking of the said land, must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, 21st December, 1912, to the Clerk of the said county at the County Offices, Taupiri Street, Te Kuiti.

THE EGMONT COUNTY COUNCIL.
MOTOR REGULATIONS.
NOTICE is hereby given that at the ordinary monthly meeting of the Council held on Friday, the 13th day of December, 1912, the following resolution was passed :—
“That, in pursuance of the powers conferred upon it by the Motor Regulation Act, 1908, Part II, and the amendments thereof, the Council of the County of Egmont hereby resolves: That Part II, Motor Regulation Act, 1908, be brought into operation within the County of Egmont on and after the 1st day of February, 1913, and that in compliance therewith all motors shall be registered as provided by the said Act.”

IN LIQUIDATION.
Oil-boring rights, together with the complete boring plant, receiving-tanks, buildings, and general accessories, as they now stand on the property.
THE undersigned have received instructions from ERNEST GERARD, Esq., acting as Liquidator of the Standard Oil Company of New Zealand (Limited), to sell at their sale- rooms, Elliott Street, Auckland, on Monday, the 20th day of January, 1913, at the hour of 2 o’clock in the afternoon, all the right, title, estate, and interest of the above-named company in and to the complete boring plant, buildings, and accessories, and in and to the full, free, and exclusive right and liberty for thirty years from the 1st day of June, 1906 (subject to sooner determination as provided in the deed hereinunder mentioned), in and upon the land therein mentioned (except only such parts as shall for the time being be occupied by any building, stockyard, garden, shrubbery, or orchard), to enter and to bore for and to endeavour to obtain, and to obtain, take, and remove petroleum therefrom, with the right of leasing from the grantors 1 acre of land round each bore for a term not exceeding thirty years, as the grantee may require, at an annual rental of £1 per acre, with a further right to purchase the land included in any such lease, at any time within twelve calendar months from the signing thereof, at a price set out opposite each lot in the schedule to the said deed. The land over which such rights are granted are part of Section 792, Block 2, Grey District (20 acres); part of Sections 774B, 776, 783, and 791, Grey District (175 acres); parts of Sections 779, 792, Grey District (110 acres and 38 perches); part of Section 792, Grey District (70 acres); part of Sections 776, 783, and 784, Grey District (279 acres 2 roods); part of Section 774B and part of Section 791, Grey District, Block 9, Paritutu Survey District (54 acres); part of Section 774B, Grey District, Block 9, Paritutu Survey District (105 acres and 32 perches); Allotment D, part of Section 774B, Grey District (23 acres 2 roods); part of Sections 774 and 791, Grey District (44 acres 3 roods); and Section 785, Grey District, Block 9, Paritutu (104 acres 1 rood 24 perches): all of which said several pieces and parcels of land are referred to in a certain deed dated the 25th day of May, 1906, made between ROBERT FINDLAY and others of the one part, and LINDA ELIZABETH HADLEY of the other part. A copy of the said deed is deposited at the office of the Liquidator, Union Buildings, Customs Street E., Auckland; and may be inspected there, together with the particulars and conditions of sale.
The above property is situated in the New Plymouth District.
