Lands temporarily reserved in the Nelson Land District.
ISLINGTON, Governor.
WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned :
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Nelson Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.
SCHEDULE.
All that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, and being Section 28, Block XIV, Wangapoka Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by the road along the left bank of the River Dart, towards the north by Section 24, and towards the west and south by section 27. For gravel purposes.
Also all that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, and being Section 29, Block XIV, Wangapoka Survey District. Bounded towards the east by the road along the left bank of the River Dart, and towards the north, west, and south by Section 27 of the before-mentioned Block XIV. For gravel purposes.
As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1912/1288A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Also all that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, and being Section 13, Block II, Tadmor Survey District. Bounded towards the south-east by the road along the left bank of the River Dart, and towards the north-east, north-west, and south-west by Section 6 of the before-mentioned Block II. For gravel purposes.
Also all that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, and being Section 14, Block II, Tadmor Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by the road along the left bank of the River Dart, and towards the north-west, south-west, and south-east by Section 7 of the before-mentioned Block II. For gravel purposes.
Also all that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, and being Section 15, Block II, Tadmor Survey District. Bounded towards the south-west by the road along the right bank of Christian's Creek, and towards the north-west, north-east, and south-east by Section 9 of the before-mentioned Block II. For gravel purposes.
As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1912/1288B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Also all that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 3 roods 18·8 perches, more or less, being Section 103 of the Mining Township of Hukawai. Bounded towards the north and north-east by the road along the left bank of Snowy River; towards the south by Sections 101, 99, 97, 95, 93, 91, 89, 87, 85, 83, and 81 and by Absalom Street; and towards the south-west by Absalom Street and Sections 79, 77, 75, 73, and 71: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1912/1288C, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. As a site for a public school.
Also all that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 roods, more or less, being Sections 49, 51, and 52 of the Mining Township of Hukawai. Bounded towards the north-west by Section 45, towards the north-east by Sections 47 and 53, towards the south-east by Lewis Street, and towards the south-west by Montgomerie Street. As a site for public buildings of the General Government.
Also all that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres 3 roods 26·5 perches, more or less, being Section 104 of the Mining Township of Hukawai. Bounded towards the north-west by Lewis Street, towards the north-east by the road along the left bank of Snowy River, towards the south-east by McColl Street, and towards the south-west by Montgomerie Street. For a public recreation-ground.
Also all that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Section 63 of the Mining Township of Hukawai. Bounded towards the north-west by Section 62, towards the north-east by Montgomerie Street, towards the south-east by McColl Street, and towards the south-west by a line parallel to the north-east boundary. For purposes of public utility.
As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1912/1288D, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Also all that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres, more or less, being Section 19, Block II, Tutaki Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east and south-east generally by the road along the left bank of the Mangles River, towards the south-west by the road forming part of the north-east boundary of Section 13, Block II, before mentioned. For gravel purposes.
Also all that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres, more or less, being Section 18, Block II, Tutaki Survey District. Bounded towards the south-west and north-west generally by the Blackwater River, towards the north-east generally by the Mangles River, and towards the south generally by the road forming part of the boundary of Section 5, Block VII, of the before-mentioned survey district. As a site for a public school.
Also all that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being Section 8, Block VII, Tutaki Survey District. Bounded towards the south-west generally by the road along the right bank of the Blackwater River, towards the west and north-east by Section 6 of the before-mentioned Block VII, and towards the south by Section 3 of the said block. For gravel purposes.
As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1912/1288E, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Also all that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres, more or less, being Section 9, Block VII, Tutaki Survey District. Bounded towards the south-east by the left branch of the Blackwater River, towards the west generally by the road along the right bank of the Blackwater River, and towards the north and east by Section 3 of the before-mentioned Block VII. For gravel purposes.
Also all that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres, more or less, being Section 10, Block VII, Tutaki Survey District. Bounded towards the north and east by Section 4 of the said block, towards the south by Crown lands, and towards the south-west by the road along the right bank of the Blackwater River. For gravel purposes.
As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1912/1288F, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
