THE COMPANIES ACT, 1908.
THE CARLTON HILL BRICK, TILE, AND TOWNSHIP COMPANY (LIMITED), (IN LIQUIDATION).
NOTICE is hereby given that the following extraordinary resolution was passed at a general meeting of shareholders of the above-named company held on the eighteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twelve,
and afterwards confirmed at a meeting of shareholders held on the fourth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, at the registered office of the company, Empire Buildings, Dunedin :—
“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same; and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily.”
And the following resolution was also passed in manner aforesaid :—
“That JOHN BARNET BRUGH, Accountant, Dunedin, be appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.”

In the matter of the Assets and Finance Company (Limited).
NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of section 230 of the Companies Act, 1908, a general meeting of the ASSETS AND FINANCE COMPANY (LIMITED), (in liquidation), will be held at the office of the Liquidator, in the New Zealand Express Company (Limited) Building, No. 9 Bond Street, Dunedin, on the 13th day of December, 1912, at 4 o’clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of having laid before the meeting the accounts of the Liquidator showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing an explanation thereof given by the Liquidator. The company will be asked to declare by extraordinary resolution how the books, accounts, and documents of the company and the Liquidator are to be disposed of.

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.
NOTICE is hereby given that this Council proposes to execute a certain public work—viz., the alteration of a line of main road in Ngakoroa Block—and for that purpose to take the lands described in the following Schedule. The works to be undertaken are formation, metalling, and the construction of drains for the passage of surface water.
The owners of the land affected are Messrs. Robert C. Miller and W. W. Bridge.
Any person having any objection to the taking of this land, or who will be injuriously affected by the proposed works, is required to state the objection in writing, and send the writing to the office of the Cook County Council, Gisborne, on or before the 31st December, 1912.
A plan of the road to be taken and of the works to be undertaken may be seen at the office of the Council, Childers Road, Gisborne, daily during office hours.
