Resolution made by the Council of the County of Hawera.

Wellington, 22nd November, 1912.

THE following resolution, made by the Hawera County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

HAWERA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Resolution making Special Rate for Nolans Road Loan, £700.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the Acts amending the same, the Hawera County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £700, authorized to be raised by the Hawera County Council, under the above-mentioned Act and the amendments thereof, for the purpose of constructing Nolans Road in the Hawera Riding of the Hawera County—that is to say, from the main South Road for a distance of 70 chains to the southward—the Hawera County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the special-rating area comprising the eastern portion of Section 103 (R. H. Nolan, containing 50 acres), part Sections 105 and 106 (E. E. Clarke, 71 acres 3 roods 29 perches; C. A. Clarke, 70 acres 3 roods 29 perches; and A. T. Wills, 157 acres 2 roods), part Sections 106 and 107 (D. Kerrisk, 75 acres and 20 perches; Mrs. A. Fitzgerald, 81 acres 1 rood 20 perches; Mrs. R. L. Pease, western portion 78 acres), the western portions of Section 103 (J. R. Corrigan, 50 acres), 104 (Mrs. J. Baker, 10 acres); and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 5th day of July in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The foregoing resolution was duly proposed, seconded, and carried at a meeting of the Hawera County Council held on the 5th day of October, 1912.

Resolution made by the Council of the County of Rodney.

THE following resolution, made by the Rodney County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

RODNEY COUNTY COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Rodney County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £1,275, authorized to be raised by the Rodney County Council under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, for the forming and metalling of the Wellsford–Whangaripo Road, the said Rodney County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 5/16 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Wellsford–Whangaripo Special-loan District, comprised of all that area within the following boundaries: Commencing at the north-east boundary of Section 9, Block V, Pakiri Survey District; thence in a southerly direction by the north-eastern boundary of both that section and the Pakiri Kauri-gum Reserve Extension; thence by a continuing right line to the north-eastern boundary of Section 56, Pakiri Parish; thence by the eastern boundary of that section; thence by part of the northern and the eastern boundary of Section 101, the eastern boundary of Section 117; thence by part of the northern, the eastern, and the south-eastern boundaries of Section 121, the south-eastern and southern boundaries of Section 78, the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 74, 75, 81, and 79, by the western boundary of Sections 79 and 111, the south-eastern boundary of Section 92, the western boundary of that section, and the western boundary of Section 90 as far as the south-eastern boundary of Section 91; thence by that boundary and the south-western boundary of the same section to the south-eastern boundary of Section 105, all Pakiri Parish; thence by the south-eastern boundary of Section 105 to the Waiwhiu Stream; thence by that stream to its confluence with the Hoteo River; thence by the southern boundaries of Sections 2 and 9 of Block XII, Pakiri Survey District; thence by the southern and western boundaries of the Wayby Kauri-gum Reserve to the south-western boundary of Arai Parish; thence northerly by that parish boundary to the north-western boundary of Section 70, Arai Parish; thence by the northern boundary of Sections 70, 46, and 90 to the eastern boundary of Arai Parish; thence northerly by that parish boundary to the commencement-point. And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the last Friday in January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I certify the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Rodney County Council held on the 14th day of November, 1912.

THE following resolutions, made by the Waikohu County Council, are published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

WAIKOHU COUNTY COUNCIL.

Resolution.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by section 21 of the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Amendment Act, 1910, the Waikohu County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of paying the interest and other charges on a loan of £200, being a loan equal to 10 per cent. of a loan of £2,000 raised for the purpose of constructing a dray-road in the Mangatu Block, the Waikohu County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅜d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all property of the Mangahamia No. 2 Special-rating Area; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off. The rate of interest to be 3½ per cent. It is proposed to pay the cost of raising the loan out of the loan-moneys.

The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Waikohu was affixed hereto in the presence of—

WAIKOHU COUNTY COUNCIL.

Resolution.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by section 21 of the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Amendment Act, 1910, the Waikohu County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of paying the interest and other charges on a loan of £115, being a loan equal to 10 per cent. of a loan of £1,195 raised for the purpose of constructing a dray-road in the Mangatu Block, the Waikohu County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/18 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Mangahamia No. 1 Special-rating Area; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off. The rate of interest to be 3½ per cent. It is proposed to pay the cost of raising the loan out of the loan-moneys.

The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Waikohu was affixed hereto in the presence of—
