A light-buoy, exhibiting an intermittent white light, on the southern side of the channel in the position of the beacon exhibiting a green light, which has been removed. Approx. position : Lat. 34° 39′ 20″ S., long. 58° 3′ 35″ W.
BRITISH COLUMBIA.
CHATHAM SOUND.—PRINCE RUPERT HARBOUR APPROACH.—HOLLAND ISLAND.—LIGHTHOUSE UNDER CONSTRUCTION.—PROVISIONAL LIGHT ESTABLISHED.—The Canadian Government has given notice that a lighthouse and fog-signal building are being erected on the southern of the two rocks forming Holland Island, Prince Rupert Harbour approach, British Columbia.
Pending the completion of the work and the installation of a permanent light, a provisional fixed white oil light shown from a lens lantern will be exhibited, visible all around the horizon.
The gas-beacon marking the rock has been discontinued.
Approx. position : Lat. 54° 10′ 19″ N., long. 130° 21′ 42″ W.
CHINA SEA.
SINGAPORE ROAD.—WRECK REMOVED.—Referring to Notice to Mariners No. 32 (2280) of 1911, further notice is given that the wreck of the steamer “Karang,” with two masts and funnel showing above the water, sunk 1,500 yards 181° from Tanjong Katong, Singapore Road, China Sea, has been removed.
Approximate position of Tanjong Katong : Latitude 1° 17′ 45″ N., longitude 103° 53′ 45″ E.

NEWCASTLE HARBOUR.
Depth of Water at Entrance.
It is hereby notified, for general information, that at the present time the minimum depth of water in the main fairway channel at the entrance to Newcastle Harbour is 23 ft. 6 in. at low-water spring tide.
The tide signals shown from the mast at the pilot-station indicate the actual depth of water existing at the time of hoist.

Notice to Mariners No. 136 of 1912.
PELORUS SOUND.—DART ROCK BUOY ADRIFT.—TENNYSON INLET.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Dart Rock buoy in Tawhitinui Reach (Tennyson Inlet) is adrift, and apparently now moored in Savill Bay. It will be replaced as soon as arrangements can be made to do it, probably during next month.
Charts, &c., affected : Admiralty Chart No. 2685 ; “New Zealand Pilot,” eighth edition, 1908, Chapter vi, page 181.

NEW ZEALAND NAUTICAL ALMANAC.

ON page 309 of the “New Zealand Nautical Almanac” for 1913 it is stated that the explosive fog-signal from Patiti Point light will be sounded at intervals of ten minutes. This is in error ; it should read five minutes.

CUSTOMS.—In exercise of the powers in me for this purpose vested by the Customs Law Act, 1908, I, the Minister of Customs, do hereby approve and appoint the undermentioned warehouse to be a warehouse for the reception of goods under bond, namely :—

Part of a brick building, roofed with iron, being No. 7, Lyttelton Harbour Board’s freezing-room, situated on foreshore, Lyttelton Harbour, to be known as
