And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Kaeo, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of such public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington.

Prohibition of Money-order and Postal Correspondence for Hans Hafeken, Hamburg.

THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand having reasonable ground for supposing that the person whose name and address are shown in the Schedule hereunder is engaged in promoting or carrying out a lottery or scheme of chance, it is hereby ordered, under section 28 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, that no money-order in favour of the said person shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed to the said person (either by his own or any fictitious or assumed name), or addressed to the address in the Schedule hereunder without a name, shall be either registered or forwarded by the Post Office of New Zealand.

Prohibition of Money-order and Postal Correspondence for H. Sinclair and Company, Sydney.

THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand having reasonable ground for supposing that the company whose name and address are shown in the Schedule hereunder is engaged in advertising the treatment of diseases of the sexual organs, it is hereby ordered, under section 28 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, that no money-order in favour of the said company shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed to the said company (either by its own or any fictitious or assumed name), or to the manager, secretary, or other officer thereof, or addressed to the address in the Schedule hereunder without a name, shall be either registered or forwarded by the Post Office of New Zealand.

Special Registration of Unregistered Births permitted by the Births and Deaths Registration Amendment Act, 1912.

Registrar-General’s Office,
Wellington, 9th November, 1912.

THE attention of the public is drawn to the opportunity afforded for a limited time—i.e., twelve months from the 7th November, 1912—to persons, or the parents of persons, who were born in New Zealand before the 7th May, 1912, but whose births have not previously been registered, of effecting a special registration by application to the Registrar-General, Wellington.

By section 21 of the Births and Deaths Registration Amendment Act, 1912, it is enacted that the Registrar-General may register the birth of any child born in New Zealand previous to the period of six months before the passing of the Act but whose birth has not previously been registered: Provided that satisfactory evidence on oath, and such other proof as he may deem necessary, of the fact, time, and place of birth, and of the particulars of the parents, shall be received by the Registrar-General within twelve months after the passing of the Act, and that on application to have such birth registered a fee of five shillings shall be paid to the Registrar-General.
