Result of the Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan of £3,500 for
the Purpose of acquiring a Site for and erecting thereon a
Town Hall.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act,
1908, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers
of the Borough of Inglewood taken on the 4th day of November, 1912, on the proposal of the Inglewood Borough Council
to borrow the sum of £3,500 for the purpose of acquiring a
site and erecting thereon a town hall, the result of the poll
was as follows: The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 131 ; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 107; informal, 5.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act,
1908, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the
Borough of Miramar was taken on the 6th day of November,
1912, on the proposal of the Miramar Borough Council to
borrow the sum of £6,000 for the following purpose : Completion of the sewerage scheme now in course of construction,
£6,000.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 41.
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 17.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Borough of Miramar was taken on the 6th day of November,
1912, on the proposal of the Miramar Borough Council to
borrow the sum of £3,000 for the following purpose : Extension
of the sewerage scheme now in course of construction,
£3,000.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 36.
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 22.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

BOROUGH OF LOWER HUTT.
Result of Loan Poll.
NOTICE is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the
Borough of Lower Hutt, including all other persons entitled
to vote on proposals to raise loans, was duly taken at the
Town Hall Buildings, Main Street, Lower Hutt; Jenness's
shop, Railway Avenue, Lower Hutt; and at the office of the
Hutt County Council, Lambton Quay, Wellington, on
Wednesday, the 6th day of November, 1912, upon the
following proposal : A proposal of the Council of the Borough
of Lower Hutt to borrow by way of special loan within the
meaning of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, the sum of £1,270, to be expended in increasing
the capacity of the water-reservoir. It is not proposed to pay out of the loan the cost of raising the loan, nor the interest for the first year.
The Council proposes to pledge a special rate of 1/38 of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the borough as security for the said loan and the interest thereon, and for the provision of a sinking fund of l per cent.
It is proposed that the whole amount of the loan shall be repayable at the expiration of a term not exceeding thirty-six years and a half; computed from the date of raising the said loan.
And at such poll the number of votes recorded was : For the proposal, 135; against the proposal, 102; informal votes, 3.
I hereby declare the said proposal to be carried.

NOTICE is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the
Borough of Lower Hutt, including all other persons entitled
to vote on proposals to raise loans, was duly taken at the
Town Hall Buildings, Main Street, Lower Hutt; Jenness's shop, Railway Avenue, Lower Hutt; and at the office of the
Hutt County Council, Lambton Quay, Wellington, on Wednesday, the 6th day of November, 1912, upon the following proposal : A proposal of the Council of the Borough
of Lower Hutt to borrow by way of special loan within the meaning of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, the sum of £2,230, to be expended in the construction and provision of the following works and things--sewage drainage in the northern portion of Main Street, Park Avenue, Old Military Road, Fry's Lane, and Hautana Street; manhole-covers and fixing in the western drainage system; two pent stocks; centrifugal pumps and fittings at septic tanks; spares for new pump, and case; extending shafting in pumping-station; shed for pump; starter for engines, and air-compressor; new artesian wells, and contingencies.
The loan will be appropriated to the above works and things approximately in the proportion specified in the Borough Engineer's report dated the 18th September, 1912.
It is not proposed to pay out of the loan the cost of raising the loan, nor the interest for the first year.
