be therein prescribed, to repair the same, they shall with
all convenient speed cause such defect to be removed or
such repairs to be made.
6. Nothing herein contained shall authorize the licensees
to do or cause to be done anything repugnant to or incon-
sistent with any law relating to the Customs, or any regula-
tion of the Minister of Customs, or with any provisions of
the Harbours Act, 1908, or its amendments, or any regula-
tion made thereunder, and that are now or may hereafter
be in force.
7. The rights, powers, and privileges conferred by or under
this Order in Council shall continue in force for the term of
fourteen years, computed from the 15th day of August, 1907,
unless such rights, powers, and privileges are sooner altered,
modified, or revoked by competent authority; and the licen-
sees shall not assign, charge, or part with any such right,
power, or privilege without the previous written consent of
the Minister.
8. The said rights, powers, and privileges may be at any
time resumed by the Governor, without payment of any
compensation whatever, on giving to the licensees three
calendar months’ previous notice in writing. Any such
notice shall be sufficient if given by the Minister and delivered
at or posted to the last known address of the licensees.
9. The licensees shall be liable for any injury which the
said boat-shed or slip may cause any vessel or boat to sustain
through any default or neglect on the part of the club.
10. In case the club—
(1.) Commits or suffers a breach of the conditions herein-
before set forth, or any of them;
(2.) Ceases to use or occupy the said boat-shed and slip; or
(3.) Is wound up or dissolved,—
then and in any such case this Order in Council, and every
license, right, power, or privilege thereby conferred, may be
revoked and determined by the Governor in Council without
any notice to the licensees or other proceeding whatsoever;
and publication in the New Zealand Gazette of an Order in
Council containing such revocation shall be sufficient notice
of the fact to the licensees, and to all persons concerned or
interested.
11. In these conditions the term “Minister” means the
Minister of Marine as defined by the Shipping and Seamen
Act, 1908, and includes any officer, person, or authority acting
by or under the direction of such Minister.

vested in me by the fourth section of the Cemeteries
Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington,
the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
appoint
THOMAS COCHRANE,
SAMUEL FOWLE, and
GUSTAVUS TAPPER
to be Trustees, in the place of John Horrell, Robert Tapper,
jun., Archibald Millar, James King, and Alfred Frederick
Blatch, to provide for the maintenance and care of the
Clifden Public Cemetery.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this seventh day of November, one thousand nine
hundred and twelve.

Opening Land in Southland Land District for Sale or Selection.
ISLINGTON, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, John
Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor
of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report
of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided by section
one hundred and fifty-four of the said Act, do hereby declare
that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open
for sale or selection on Wednesday, the twenty-sixth day of
February, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen; and also
that the land mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the
option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected
for occupation with right of purchase, or on renewable lease;
and I do hereby also fix the price at which the said land
shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said
Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said land shall be
sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provi-
sions of the Land Act, 1908.

with mixed bush of no commercial value; flat and undu-

places; well watered by small streams; suitable for agri-
cultural or dairying purposes. Situated about five miles
and a half from Edendale Township, all except about
16 chains being formed and metalled.
