Land taken for the Purposes of a Quarry in Block IV, Otanake Survey District, Waitomo County.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, for the purposes of a quarry in Block IV, Otanake Survey District:
And whereas the Council of the Borough of Te Kuiti has laid before the Governor a memorial, accompanied by a map (in duplicate), and also the statutory declaration, as required by the Public Works Act, 1908:
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the said quarry, and shall vest in the Corporation of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Te Kuiti; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect from and after the fourteenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twelve.

Licensing the Rangiora Timber Company (Limited) to use and occupy a Part of the Foreshore and Land below Low-water Mark of Hokianga Harbour as a Site for an Extension to Wharf.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this seventh day of October, 1912.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, there being no Harbour Board empowered to grant the license hereinafter mentioned under the Harbours Act Amendment Act, 1883, the Rangiora Timber Company (Limited) (hereinafter called “the company”), did, in the year one thousand nine hundred and two, apply to the Governor in Council for a license under the said Act to occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark at the Narrows in Hokianga Harbour in order to erect a wharf thereon; and, in accordance with the one-hundred-and-fifty-sixth section of the said Act, deposited a plan in the office of the Marine Department, at Wellington (marked M.D. 2505), showing the area of foreshore and land below low-water mark proposed to be occupied and the manner in which it was proposed to erect the said wharf: And whereas the Governor in Council did, on the third day of April, one thousand nine hundred and two, approve of the purpose for which the said foreshore and land below low-water mark were to be occupied, and granted a license for the purpose aforesaid on the terms and conditions therein expressed: And whereas the company has applied for authority to make an extension to the said wharf in Hokianga Harbour described in the said plan M.D. 2505; and, in accordance with the one-hundred-and-fiftieth section of the Harbours Act, 1908 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), has deposited a plan in the office of the said Marine Department, at Wellington (marked M.D. 3896), showing the additional foreshore and land below low-water mark intended to be so occupied, and the nature and extent of the said extension intended to be made: And whereas it has been made to appear to the Governor in Council that the proposed work will not be or tend to the injury of navigation, and the said plan (marked M.D. 3896) has, prior to the making of this Order in Council, been approved by the Governor in Council: And whereas it is expedient that a license should be granted and issued to the company under the said Act for the purpose last aforesaid, on the terms and conditions hereinafter expressed:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and by and with the advice and consent of the executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the object for which the said license is required by the company as aforesaid; and, in further pursuance and exercise of the said power and authority, and with the like advice and consent as aforesaid, doth hereby license and permit the company to use and occupy that part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark on which the said extension to the wharf in Hokianga Harbour is to be erected, as shown on the plan M.D. 3896 so deposited as aforesaid, for the purpose of erecting and maintaining the said extension to the said wharf in Hokianga Harbour, such license to be held and enjoyed by the company upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.
