A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Kawakawa-Grahamtown Railway, and for road-diversions in connection therewith, to take further land in Motatau, Hukerenui, and Kawakawa Survey Districts, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway and road-diversions:
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

Defining the Middle-line of a Further Portion of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway (Gisborne Southwards).

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS a portion of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway from Gisborne southwards for a distance of twenty-six miles (hereinafter termed “the said railway”) is a railway the construction of which was authorized by the Railways Authorization Act, 1910: And whereas the said railway has been partly constructed, and it has been determined to construct and maintain the further portion of the said railway described in the Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and in pursuance and exercise of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of the said further portion of the said railway shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
COMMENCING at a point in Matawhero No. 4 Block, Block I, Turanganui Survey District, marked 1 mile 72 chains (=2 miles 14·5 chains from Makaraka Station), which point is also the termination of the railway, as defined in a Proclamation dated the 9th day of August, 1912, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 15th day of August, 1912; proceeding thence in a north-westerly direction generally for a distance of about 2 miles 3493·8 links, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, &c., viz.: Matawhero No. 4 Block, Subdivisions A, C, and B of Whenuakura Block, Sections 82 (Wilson’s Reserve), 79, 77, Suburban Sections 1, 3 (E.R.), 5 (E.R.), 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, and 21, and Section 73, marked 4 miles 4943·8 links (from Makaraka Station); including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses: all in the Land District of Hawke’s Bay: as the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 32542, deposited in the office of
