Resolution made by the Oakura Road Board.

THE following resolution, made by the Oakura Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

OAKURA ROAD BOARD.
Resolution levying Special Rate.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Oakura Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £60 (such loan being 10 per cent. of the original loan, £600), authorized to be raised by the Oakura Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting a bridge over the Kiri River, and approaches, &c., the said Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅜d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Kiri Bridge Special-rating District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Oakura Road Board held at Oakura on the 15th day of January, 1912.

Resolutions made by the Council of the County of Cook.

THE following resolutions, made by the Cook County Council, are published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.
Resolution made on the 19th day of January, 1912.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Cook County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £180, authorized to be raised by the Cook County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for completing the works proposed on Riverside Road, for which a loan of £1,600 was raised on 5th January, 1910, and has been found insufficient, the said Cook County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/16 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Riverside Special-rating District No. 2, as defined in Gazette, 6th October, 1910, page 3625; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off. The rate of interest to be 3½ per cent.

The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Cook was hereto affixed in the presence of—

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.
Resolution made on the 19th day of January, 1912.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Cook County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £50, authorized to be raised by the Cook County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for completing the works on the Riverside Road No. 3, for which a loan of £500 was raised on the 13th April, 1911, and has been found insufficient, the said Cook County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/40 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Riverside Special-rating District No. 3, as described in Gazette, 25th May, 1911, pages 1759–1760; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off. The rate of interest to be 3½ per cent.

Resolution made by the Council of the County of Manawatu.

THE following resolution, made by the Manawatu County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

MANAWATU COUNTY COUNCIL.
Resolution making Special Rate.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Act, 1909, the Manawatu County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £60 (being 10 per cent. of original loan of £600), authorized to be raised by the Manawatu County Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of completion of construction of drainage-works in Oroua Downs Estate and the Wellington and Manawatu Railway Company’s endowment, the said loan to be for a period of thirty-six years and a half, and that the interest to be paid is at the rate of 3½ per centum per annum, the said Manawatu County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/28 of a penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Oroua Downs Special-rating District, Manawatu County, comprising Section 166, Block V, Te Kawa Survey District, and Sections 5, 5A, 5B, 5C, 6, 12, and 23 of the Oroua Downs Estate, Blocks IX and XIII, Te Kawa Survey District; and all that portion of the Wellington and Manawatu Railway Company’s endowment situate to the north of the southern boundary of Block III, Sandy Survey District, comprising 2,700 acres: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off. First year’s interest to be paid out of loan.

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Manawatu County Council held on Tuesday, the 5th December, 1911.
