A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor by the Marriage Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing marriage districts known as the Taupo, Te Kuiti, Mangaroa-Mangapehi, Taumarunui, Raetihi, and Ohakune Districts, and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said districts is hereby divided anew into eleven marriage districts, the names and boundaries whereof shall be as follows:—
TAUPO DISTRICT.
All that area bounded towards the north-west by a right line from the mouth of the Waihora Stream in Lake Taupo to Uraura Trig. Station; thence towards the north-east generally by a right line to Paeroa Trig. Station; thence by a right line passing through Tawhiuau Trig. Station to the Whakatane River; thence towards the east generally by the Whakatane River to its confluence with the Ruatahuna Stream; thence by that stream to its source; thence by a right line to the source of the Huiarua Stream; thence by the said Huiarua Stream to Lake Wai-karemoana; thence by that lake to Block XXV, Waiau Survey District; thence by Blocks XXV and V, Waiau Survey District, and Block VIII, Mangahopai Survey District, to the Waiau River; thence by that river to the Mangahopai Stream; thence by that stream, Te Putere B Block, and Rotokarangu Block to the Te Hoe River; thence by that river to the 39th parallel of south latitude: thence towards the south by the said 39th parallel to the Taharua River; thence towards the south-west by the said Taharua River to its source; thence by a right line to the Hinemaiai Stream at the northernmost corner of the Pahikohuru Block; thence by the said Hinemaiai Stream to Lake Taupo; and thence by a right line across Lake Taupo to the mouth of the Waihora Stream, the place of commencement.
TOKAANU DISTRICT.
All that area bounded towards the north-east by a right line from Pureora Trig. Station to the mouth of the Waihora Stream; thence by a right line across Lake Taupo to the mouth of the Hinemaiai Stream; thence by that stream to the northernmost corner of the Pahikohuru Block; thence by a right line to the source of the Taharua River; thence towards the east generally by that river to its confluence with the Mohaka River; thence by the last-mentioned river to a point in line with Trig. Stations Nos. 68A and 65A, Kaweka Survey District; thence by a right line to the said Trig. Station No. 65A; thence towards the south generally by a right line to Trig. Station No. 26 (Tawheketewhango); thence by a right line to Trig. Station No. 27; thence by a right line to Trig. Station No. 28; thence towards the south-west by a right line to Ngauruhoe Trig. Station; thence towards the west generally by a right line to Tongariro Trig. Station; thence by the eastern watershed of the Wanganui River to the north-eastern corner of Block IV, Tongariro Survey District; thence by the summit of the range over Maungakatote to Maungaku Trig. Station; and thence by the summit of the range over Hauhungaroa, Motere, Tuhinga-mata, and Weraroa Trig. Stations to Pureora Trig. Station, the place of commencement.
TE KUITI DISTRICT.
All that area bounded towards the north generally by the Hangitiki-Waitomo Road, which intersects Hauturu East E Nos. 1 and 2 Blocks and the road which intersects the Pukeroa-Hangitiki Blocks from the eastern boundary-line of Block X, Orahiri Survey District, to the western boundary-line of Section No. 4, Block XII, Orahiri Survey District; thence by part of the western boundary and by the northern boundary of the said Section No. 4 to the easternmost corner of that section; thence by a right line
ERRATUM.—In the third line of the second column of the Schedule to the notice of the taking and laying-of a road in Blocks XI and XII, Otanake Survey District, published in Gazette No. 70, page 2617, of 29th August, 1912, for “Karu-o-te-whenua B No. 5c Block” read “Karu-o-te-whenua B.”
