Land temporarily reserved as an Addition to a Site for a Public School in the Town of Whangamomona, Taranaki Land District.
ISLINGTON, Governor.
WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned :
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Taranaki Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, as an addition to a site for a public school.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 16·8 perches, more or less, being Section 47, Town of Whangamomona. Bounded towards the north by the Whangamomona Road, 195·6 links; towards the east by Section 26, Block I, Mahoe Survey District (school-site), 108·9 links; and towards the south-west by the Whangamomona Road deviation, 208·5 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1912/1132, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this fifteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twelve.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

Bounded towards the north-east by a public road along the Ongarue River and by Rangitoto-Tuhua 77m 3c Block, 870·8 and 992·4 links respectively; towards the south-east and south-west by Section 2, Block I, Tuhua Survey District, 594·9 and 1941·5 links respectively; and towards the north-west by the said road along the Ongarue River, 360·1 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1687/8, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the fourth section of the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I, John Poynder, Dickson-Poynder Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
WILLIAM CALDER
to be a Trustee, in the place of Harry Edward Hill, resigned, to provide for the maintenance and care of the West Melton Public Cemetery, in conjunction with John Fincham, Evan McLennan, Ernest Thayer Davis, and Charles Edward Walker, previously appointed.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this eleventh day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twelve.

Opening Land in Southland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
ISLINGTON, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1905, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereunder shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Wednesday, the twenty-seventh day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, at the rental mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said land shall be leased under and subject to section one hundred and thirty-five of the said Act, as it contains, or is supposed to contain, metal, mineral, or valuable stone.

Open tussock land, undulating and a little broken, about 25 acres being unploughable; well watered by gullies. Soil light and loamy; subsoil clay, with gravelly patches. Situated about ten miles from Woodlands Railway-station.
