XII, Waoku Survey District, and the eastern boundary-lines of Sections Nos. 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, and 19 (special settlement), Block XVI, Waoku Survey District, to the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section; thence by a right line running due east to the Tewaiokumarau River; thence by a line along the middle of that river to the confluence of the last-mentioned river with the Mangakahia River; thence by a line along the middle of the Mangakahia River to the road which forms the boundary between Hokianga and Bay of Islands Counties; and thence by that road to its intersection by a right line drawn between Trig. Stations Nos. 18 and 43 (Tutamoe); thence towards the south-east and south by Hobson County to the sea; and thence towards the south-west by the sea to the place of commencement.
And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the first day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twelve.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this eighth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twelve.

Districts constituted under the Births and Deaths Registration Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor by the Births and Deaths Registration Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing registration districts known as the Kaitaia and Hokianga Districts, and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said districts is hereby divided anew into three registration districts, the names whereof shall be the Kaitaia, Herekino, and Hokianga Districts, and the boundaries whereof shall be coterminous with the boundaries of the marriage districts bearing the same names, as are set forth in a Proclamation of even date herewith, made under the provisions of the Marriage Act, 1908.
And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the first day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twelve.

Declaring a Certain Area added to County of Wanganui to be included in the Kaukatea and Mangawhero Ridings thereof.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the ninth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twelfth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, the boundaries of the Borough of Wanganui East were altered by excluding therefrom the area described in the First Schedule hereto: And whereas it is desirable that part of the area so excluded should be added to the Kaukatea Riding and the remainder to the Mangawhero Riding of the County of Wanganui:
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section twenty-two of the Counties Act, 1908, do hereby proclaim and declare that part of the area excluded as aforesaid from the Wanganui East Borough shall be included in the Kaukatea Riding and the remainder in the Mangawhero Riding of the said County of Wanganui, and that the boundaries of such ridings as so altered shall be those described in the Second Schedule hereto. And I do further declare that this Proclamation shall take effect as on and from the twelfth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twelve.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District situated in Blocks I, II, and VI, Ikitara Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west, north-east, and south generally by the Borough of Wanganui East from a point on the left bank of the Wanganui River in line with the north-east boundary-line of Original Section No. 92 of Block I to the south-east corner of Original Section No. 66 of the said Block I; thence towards the west by that section; thence towards the north by the No. 3 Line Road to a point in line with the eastern boundary-line of Original Section No. 80 of the said Block I; thence again towards the west by the crossing of the last-mentioned road and by the said Section No. 80 to the east corner of the land known as Lot No. 1 on plan No. A/2621, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington; thence again towards the south by the southern boundary-line of the said Lot No. 1 and of Lot No. 2, as coloured in green border on the last-mentioned plan; by the southern boundary-line of Lot No. 1 on D.P. plan No. 853, deposited in the aforementioned office; by the crossing of the said lot, and again by the other portion of the southern boundary-line of the last-mentioned lot; by the west boundary-line of the last-mentioned lot; by the abuttal of a road; by the boundary between Lots Nos. 5 and 20 of D.P. plan No. 1102, deposited in the aforementioned office, to the south-eastern boundary-line of Original Section No. 91 of the said Block I; thence again towards the north-west by that section and by Section No. 92 aforesaid; and thence towards the south-west by the last-mentioned section to the point of commencement.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
KAUKATEA RIDING.
All that area in the Wanganui County bounded towards the north generally by the Mangawhero Riding, hereinbefore described, from a point on the north-eastern boundary of Original Section No. 80, Block I, Ikitara Survey District, being the eastern corner of the land known as Lot No. 1 on plan No. A/2621, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington, to the north-eastern corner of Section No. 304, Block I, Wangaehu Survey District; thence towards the east generally by the eastern boundary-lines of Sections Nos. 304, 303, 302, and 301, Block I aforesaid, to the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section; thence towards the south generally by Section No. 300, Block I aforesaid, Sections Nos. 299 and 235, Block IV, Ikitara Survey District, and Sections Nos. 230, 228, 229, and 256, Block VIII, to the Matarawa Stream; thence by that stream and Section No. 247, Block VIII aforesaid, to the north-eastern corner of Section No. 198, Block VII, Ikitara Survey District; thence by the last-mentioned section and Sections Nos. 197, 196, 195, 178, 128, 127, 126, 125, 124, 123, 59, and 58, Block VII aforesaid, Sections Nos. 57, 56, 55, 54, 53, 52, 51, 50, 49, and 48, Block VI, and Sections Nos. 47 and 46, Block V, to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 66, Block I, Ikitara Survey District; and thence towards the west generally by that section and No. 3 Line Road to a point in line with the eastern boundary-line of Original Section No. 80 of Block I aforesaid; and thence by that section to the place of commencement.
MANGAWHERO RIDING.
ALL that area in the Wanganui County bounded towards the north generally by Waimarino County from the Wanganui River to the western boundary of the Mangamahu Road District as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 106, of the 19th December, 1907; thence towards the east generally by the said Mangamahu Road District to Section No. 304, Block I, Wangaehu Survey District; thence towards the south generally by the Kaukatea and Mataongaonga Road Districts to the north-eastern corner of Original Section No. 83, Block II, Ikitara Survey District; thence by that section and Sections Nos. 82 and 81, Block II aforesaid, to the eastern corner of the land known as Lot No. 1 on plan No. A/2621, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington; thence by the
