A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor by the Marriage Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing marriage districts known as the Kaitaia and Hokianga Districts, and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said districts is hereby divided anew into three marriage districts, the names and boundaries whereof shall be as follows:β€”

KAITAIA DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north-west by a right line from the sea at the southernmost corner of Section No. 3, Muriwhenua Parish, Opoe Survey District, to the mouth of the Takahonu Stream; thence towards the east generally by the sea to the Mangatete River; thence by that river to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 64, Mangatete Parish; thence by a right line to the northernmost corner of Section No. 77, Parish of Kaiaka; thence by that section to Te Puhi Stream; thence by the south-eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 78, 92, 91, 79, 93, and 90, Parish of Kaiaka, to the southernmost corner of the last-mentioned section; thence by the said Parish of Kaiaka and the Parish of Maungataniwha to the southernmost corner of Section No. 106 of the last-mentioned parish; thence by the south-eastern and eastern boundary-lines of the said Section No. 106 and the southern boundary-lines of Sections Nos. 83, 146, 147, and 145, across a road, and by the south-western boundary-lines of Sections Nos. 108, 111, 112, 115, 116, 118, 119, 122, and 123 of the said Parish of Maungataniwha to the southernmost corner of the last-mentioned section; thence towards the south-east generally by the north-western boundary of Hokianga County to Section No. 19, Block VII, Whangape Survey District; thence towards the west generally by Sections Nos. 19, 18, 17, 16, and 15, Block VII aforesaid, to the south-western corner of Section No. 1, Block XIII, Takahue Survey District; thence by a right line to the Wairoa Stream at the southernmost corner of Section No. 10, Block V, Ahipara Survey District; thence by the said Wairoa Stream to the road forming the southern boundary of Mapere No. 2 Block; thence by that road to the sea; and thence by the sea to the place of commencement.

HEREKINO DISTRICT.

All that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north generally by the road forming the southern boundary of the Mapere No. 2 Block from the sea to the Wairoa Stream; thence by that stream to the southernmost corner of Section No. 10, Block V, Ahipara Survey District; thence by a right line to the south-western corner of Section No. 1, Block XIII, Takahue Survey District; thence by that section and its southern boundary produced to the north-western corner of Section No. 72, Block VII, Whangape Survey District; thence by the last-mentioned section to the north-western boundary of Hokianga County; thence by the north-western boundary of that county to a point due north of the northernmost corner of Section No. 40, Block II, Whangape Survey District; thence towards the east generally by a right line to the northernmost corner of the said Section No. 40; thence by Sections Nos. 40, 39, 35, and 1, Block II aforesaid, Sections Nos. 32, 31, 30, 29, 28, 27, and 26, Section III, Whangape Survey District, to the road at the westernmost corner of the last-mentioned section; thence by the road forming the south-western boundaries of Sections Nos. 26, 25, and 24, and forming the western boundaries of Sections Nos. 9 and 10, Block III aforesaid, and Sections Nos. 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12, Block V, Whangape Survey District, to the junction of roads at the south-western corner of the last-mentioned section; thence towards the south-east by a right line to the south-eastern corner of Paihia No. 1 Block; thence by the boundary between the said Paihia No. 1 Block and a forest reserve to Whakarawera Block; thence by the eastern and south-eastern boundaries of the last-mentioned block to the sea; and thence towards the south-west generally by the sea to the place of commencement.

HOKIANGA DISTRICT.

All that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north-west generally by the Whakarawera Block from the sea to the south-western corner of Paihia No. 1 Block; thence by the said Paihia No. 1 Block to its south-eastern corner; thence by a right line to the junction of roads at the south-western corner of Section No. 12, Block V, Whangape Survey District; thence towards the north-east generally by the road running south through the Whakarapa Block to the Whakarapa River; thence by a line along the middle of that river, and across the Hokianga River to the mouth of the said Whirinaki River, and by a line along the middle of the said Whirinaki River to the western boundary of the Manawakaiia Block; thence by that block, a forest reserve (150 acres), and by the eastern boundary-lines of Sections Nos. 7 and 9, Block
