New Zealand Staff Corps.

Lieutenant (temporary Captain) Walter Harry Meddings, late Adjutant, 12th (Nelson) Regiment, and Officer in Charge, No. 12 Area-group, to be Assistant Adjutant and Quartermaster-General, Canterbury Military District, vice Potter, transferred. Dated 1st July, 1912.

Lieutenant (temporary Captain) Robert Saxton Matthews, late Staff Officer for Senior Cadets, Auckland District, to be Assistant Adjutant and Quartermaster-General, Auckland Military District, vice Carpenter, retired. Dated 1st March, 1912.

Lieutenant (temporary Captain) Nathaniel William Benjamin Butler Thoms, late Staff Officer for Senior Cadets, Otago District, to be Officer in Charge, No. 13 Area-group. Dated 1st April, 1912.

Lieutenant (temporary Captain) Harry Stuart Norton Robinson, late Staff Officer for Senior Cadets, Wellington District, to be Officer in Charge, No. 6 Area-group. Dated 1st April, 1912.

Lieutenant (temporary Captain) Victor Albert Kelsall, late Staff Officer for Senior Cadets, Canterbury District, to be Officer in Charge, No. 9 Area-group. Dated 1st April, 1912.

Lieutenant (temporary Captain) Alfred Charles Cornwallis Stevens, late Staff Officer for Junior Cadets, to be Officer in Charge, No. 8 Area-group. Dated 16th August, 1912.

The above-named officers will retain the temporary rank of Captain whilst employed as shown above.

5th Mounted Rifles (Otago Hussars).

Lieutenant Thomas Joseph Dowling resigns his commission. Dated 1st August, 1912.

9th (Wellington East Coast) Mounted Rifles.

Lieutenant Selwyn Chambers to be Captain. Dated 22nd July, 1912.

Corporal Augustine Georgetti to be 2nd Lieutenant, supernumerary to the establishment. Dated 9th September, 1912.

12th (Otago) Mounted Rifles.

Acting-Sergeant Charles Fitzroy Overton to be 2nd Lieutenant, to complete establishment. Dated 9th September, 1912.

New Zealand Field Artillery.

Lindo Saul Levien to be Lieutenant. Dated 3rd May, 1912.

New Zealand Garrison Artillery.

Colonel Honourable James Allen, M.P., T.D. (Coast Defence Commander), is transferred to the Reserve of Officers. Dated 20th July, 1912.

The notice published in New Zealand Gazette dated 20th June, 1912, relative to the transfer of Captain William Hobbard Morton, is hereby cancelled.

Captain William Hobbard Morton to be Major. Dated 16th May, 1911.

Major William Hobbard Morton is transferred to the Reserve of Officers. Dated 28th February, 1912.

Lieutenant Francis D’Oyley Mears resigns his commission. Dated 22nd August, 1912.

Corps of New Zealand Engineers.

Lieutenant Frederick Joseph Williams, from the Reserve of Officers, to be Lieutenant. Dated 9th September, 1912.

3rd (Auckland) Regiment (“Countess of Ranfurly’s Own”).

The undermentioned to be 2nd Lieutenants, supernumerary to the establishment. Dated 5th August, 1912:—
