Special Order made by the Mangatarata Road Board, County of Patangata.

THE following special order, made by the Mangatarata Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Road Boards Act, 1908.

MANGATARATA ROAD BOARD.

Special Order.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Mangatarata Road Board hereby resolves: That, for the purpose of completing the road-metalling scheme, the Mangatarata Road Board hereby authorizes the raising of a special loan of £300, which amount being one-tenth of the loan known as the Metalling Loan of £3,000 raised by the Mangatarata Road Board under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908; and that such special loan shall be for a period of thirty-six years and a half, and that the rate of interest be £1 13s. 4d. per centum per annum, and that there be paid a half-yearly instalment of £2 10s. 6d. for each £100 of the loan in respect of principal and interest until the loan is fully paid off. And it is proposed that the cost of raising the loan and the first year’s interest, &c., of the loan be paid out of the loan. And, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges in connection with the said loan, the said Mangatarata Road Board makes and levies a special rate of 1/57 of a penny in the pound on all rateable property of the Mangatarata Road District, comprising all that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, in Waipukurau Survey District, with boundaries described in Gazette No. 74, page 2311, dated 9th September, 1909; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 30th day of April and 31st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above special order was duly passed in accordance with the Road Boards Act, 1908.

Special Orders made by the Cook County Council merging Waimata and Pouawa Road Districts.

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.

A Special Order made by the Cook County Council on Friday, 1st March, 1912, and confirmed on Friday, 29th March, 1912.

RESOLVED, That, in accordance with the prayer of a petition of two-thirds of the ratepayers in the Waimata Road District, the Cook County Council hereby declares that the Waimata Road Board shall be dissolved, and the said Waimata Road District be merged in the county.

This special order to come into force on the 1st day of May, 1912.

The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Cook was hereto affixed this 29th day of March, 1912, in the presence of—

A Special Order made by the Cook County Council on Friday, 1st March, 1912, and confirmed on Friday, 29th March, 1912.

RESOLVED, That, in accordance with the prayer of a petition of two-thirds of the ratepayers of the Pouawa Road District, this Council hereby declares that the Pouawa Road Board shall be dissolved, and the said Pouawa Road District merged in the county.

This special order to come into force on the 1st day of May, 1912.

THE following special order, made by the Greymouth Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

BOROUGH OF GREYMOUTH.

Special Order making Special Rate to provide for Interest, Sinking Fund, and other Charges on Loan of £26,838.

WHEREAS the balance of the sum of £6,500 borrowed by the Greymouth Borough Corporation by way of special loan became due and payable on the 1st day of January, 1912: And whereas the debentures paid off the said loan amount to £650, and the sum of £5,850 is required to pay off the said loan:

And whereas the balance of a further sum of £3,348 borrowed by the said Greymouth Borough Corporation by way of special loan became due and payable on the 1st day of January, 1912: And whereas the debentures paid off such last-mentioned loan amount to £660, and the sum of £2,688 is required to pay off the said last-mentioned loan:

And whereas the balance of a further sum of £5,000 borrowed by the said Greymouth Borough Corporation by way of special loan became due and payable on the 1st day of January, 1912: And whereas the debentures paid off such last-mentioned loan amount to £800, and the sum of £4,200 is required to pay off the said last-mentioned loan:

And whereas the balance of a further sum of £15,000 borrowed by the said Greymouth Borough Corporation is due and payable on the 30th day of June, 1912: And whereas the debentures paid off such last-mentioned loan amount to £900, and the sum of £14,100 is required to pay off the said last-mentioned loan:

And whereas the total sum required to pay off the above-mentioned four loans amounts to £26,838:

Now, therefore, the Greymouth Borough Council, in exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1908, hereby resolves by way of special order: First —To borrow the said sum of £26,838 for the purpose of paying off the said four loans. Second—That the said sum of £26,838 shall be repayable on the 1st day of August, 1937. Third—That, for the purpose of providing interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the said loan of £26,838, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 2d. in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Greymouth; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Made by special order passed at a special meeting of the Council of the Borough of Greymouth held on the 4th day of July, 1912, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting of the said Council held on the 8th day of August, 1912; and sealed with the common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Greymouth, in the presence of—
