Land set apart for a Municipal Endowment in the Manunui Town District.
ISLINGTON, Governor.
WHEREAS by section seventeen of the Land Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is provided that the reserves to be made by the Governor for any existing borough or town district under that section shall be made only in cases where reserves for the same purpose do not exist therein, or, if existing, do not equal or exceed the amount of reserves authorized to be made under section fifteen of the said Act :
And whereas the existing municipal reserves in the Town of Manunui do not equal the amount of such reserves authorized by the said section fifteen, and it is deemed expedient to make the reserve hereinafter mentioned :
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby declare that the land enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby reserved as an endowment or for the use of the Town Board of the Manunui Town District, as constituted by Proclamation dated the twenty-first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 56, of the sixth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood 36·1 perches, more or less, being Section 144, Town of Manunui. Bounded towards the north-west by Sections 87 and 43, 276·7 links; towards the north-east by Section 140, 649·2 links; towards the south-east and south-west by public roads, 162·37 links and 723·5 links respectively: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1911/1798e, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the fourth section of the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
STEVENS RIDDLE
to be a Trustee, in the place of Ernest William Davies, left the district, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Aria Public Cemetery, in conjunction with Isaac Holloway, John O’Sullivan, James Collins, and Joseph Dollimore, previously appointed.

to be Secretary for the Cook Islands, to hold the said office during pleasure; and I do require you to enter upon and duly discharge the duties of the said office in person, except only in case of sickness or other incapacity and leave of absence first duly granted.
This appointment to take effect on and from the eighth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twelve.

Branding Registration Districts of Kaikoura and Ashley abolished and New Branding Registration Districts of Kaikoura and Oxford constituted.—Notice No. 1637.
ISLINGTON, Governor.
WHEREAS it is expedient that the Kaikoura and Ashley Branding Registration Districts as at present constituted should be abolished, and that new branding registration districts as described in the Schedule hereto should be constituted in lieu thereof :
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Stock Act, 1908, do hereby abolish the Kaikoura and Ashley Branding Registration Districts as at present constituted, and do hereby constitute in lieu thereof the branding registration districts as set forth in the Schedule hereto, and declare that the said districts shall hereafter be comprised as described in the said Schedule; and also do hereby appoint the persons set opposite thereto in the said Schedule to be the Registrars of the said districts accordingly.
