forming the eastern boundary of that section to its north-eastern corner; thence by Sections Nos. 348, 347, 346, 345, 344, and 343 to the railway-line; thence by the railway-line to the road at the northernmost corner of Section No. 409; thence by the road forming the north-western boundary of that section to the north-eastern corner of Section No. 400, Whangamarino Parish; thence by Sections Nos. 400, 401, and across a road to the Waikato River; thence by the Waikato River to the ocean; and thence towards the south-west by the ocean to Cape Maria van Diemen, the place of commencement: including Great Barrier Island, Little Barrier Island, and adjacent islands.

HAMILTON DISTRICT.

All that area bounded towards the north, north-east, and east generally by the Northern District hereinbefore described from the mouth of the Waikato River to the south-western corner of Whakatane County; thence by Wairoa County to the 39th parallel of south latitude; thence towards the south by the said 39th parallel to the Wanganui River; thence towards the west by a right line to the Mokau River at the north-eastern corner of Mapara No. 2 Block; thence towards the south-east and again towards the south by the Mokau River to the ocean; and thence again towards the west generally by the ocean to the mouth of the Waikato River, the place of commencement.

TARANAKI DISTRICT.

All that area bounded towards the north and north-west generally by the Mokau River from the ocean to the north-eastern corner of Mapara No. 2 Block; thence towards the east generally by a right line to the Wanganui River where it is intersected by the 39th parallel of south latitude; thence by the Wanganui River to a point bearing 53° 54' 6" from the mouth of the Patea River; thence towards the south-east by a right line to the mouth of the Patea River; and thence towards the south-west, west, and north-west by the ocean to the mouth of the Mokau River, the place of commencement.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Calcium Domain.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of July, 1912.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to Part II of the said Act, control of such domain:

And whereas by an Order in Council made on the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and five, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the sixth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and five, a Domain Board was appointed to control the Calcium Domain:

And whereas the period for which the said Board was appointed expired on the thirtieth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twelve:

And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the domain:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

to be the Calcium Domain Board having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the tenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, at eight o'clock p.m., as the time when, and the Calcium Hall, Calcium, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.

CALCIUM DOMAIN.

All that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 roods 36 perches, more or less, being Sections Nos. 16 and 17, Block I, Town of Calcium. Bounded towards the north-east by Union Street, 368 links; towards the south by district road, 360'6 links; towards the south-west by Section No. 1 in the said block, 224'5 links; and towards the north-west by Section No. 15 in the said block, 333 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1394/18a, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Exempting Portion of Driver Street, in the Borough of Maori Hill, from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to certain Conditions as to the Building-line.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of July, 1912.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by subsection one of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is, inter alia, provided that the said section shall not apply in any case where a local authority having control of a road or street declares that the provisions thereof shall not apply to any specified road or street, or any specified part thereof, and such resolution is approved by the Governor in Council:

And whereas by subsection two of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is, inter alia, provided that such approval may be either absolute or subject to such conditions as the Governor, by Order in Council, thinks fit to impose:

And whereas the Maori Hill Borough Council, the local authority having control of that portion of street known as Driver Street, described in the Schedule hereto, did by resolution declare that the provisions of the said section one hundred and seventeen shall not apply to the said portion of street: And whereas it is deemed expedient that such resolution should be approved, subject to the condition hereinafter mentioned:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the above-in-part-recited Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the said resolution, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on either side of the said portion of Driver Street within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.

SCHEDULE.

All that portion of street in the Borough of Maori Hill, known as Driver Street, on the north-eastern frontage of part of Section 11, Block I, Upper Kaikorai District, having a length of 7 chains, more or less; as the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 31958, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.
