Special Order made by the Whangarei County Council merging Hikurangi Road District.

THE following special order, made by the Whangarei County Council, is published for general information.

WHANGAREI COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order.

In pursuance of the powers vested in them under the Counties Act, 1908, the Road Boards Act, 1908, and of any other powers enabling the Council to make the same, the Council of the Whangarei County make the following special order :—

  1. That the prayer of the ratepayers signing a petition presented to the Council, praying that the Hikurangi Road Board be dissolved and the Hikurangi Road District be merged into the County of Whangarei, be granted, and the said Road Board is hereby dissolved, and the said Road District is hereby merged in the said county, and such dissolution and merger shall take effect on the 1st day of July, 1912.

The above special order was made by the Whangarei County Council at a meeting held on the 19th day of April, 1912, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting of the said Council held on the 12th day of June, 1912.

The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Whangarei County was affixed hereto at a meeting and by order of the Whangarei County Council on the 12th day of June, 1912.
