in any case where the local authority having control of any road or street by resolution declares that the provisions thereof shall not apply to any specified road or street, or any specified part thereof, and such resolution is approved by the Governor in Council :

And whereas by subsection two of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is provided that such approval may be either absolute or subject to such conditions with respect to the building-line as the Governor, by Order in Council, thinks fit to impose :

And whereas the Wellington City Council, being the local authority having control of the street described in the Schedule hereto, did by resolution declare that the provisions of the said section one hundred and seventeen should not apply to the said street :

And whereas it is deemed expedient that such resolution should be approved :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the above-in-part-recited Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the said resolution in so far as it affects the said street described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that street in the City of Wellington, known as Wright Street, Vogeltown, commencing at its junction with Martin Street and running in a southerly direction generally for a distance of 17 chains, more or less ; as the said street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 31615, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Exempting Jolie and Selwyn Streets and Portions of Grehan and Rue Balgueri Streets, in the Borough of Akaroa, from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of June, 1912.

Present :

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by subsection one of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is, inter alia, provided that the said section shall not apply in any case where the local authority having charge of any road or street by resolution declares that the provisions thereof shall not apply to any specified road or street, or any specified part thereof, and such resolution is approved by the Governor in Council :

And whereas by subsection two of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is provided that such approval may be either absolute or subject to such conditions as the Governor, by Order in Council, thinks fit to impose :

And whereas on the twentieth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, the Akaroa Borough Council, the local authority having control of the streets or portions of streets described in the Schedule hereto, did by resolution declare that the provisions of the said section one hundred and seventeen should not apply to the said streets or portions of streets :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the above-in-part-recited Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the said resolution.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that street in the Borough of Akaroa, known as Jolie Street, commencing at the Mill Stream, near the north-western corner of Section 123, and proceeding in a south-westerly direction to its junction with Aylmer Street.

Also all that portion of street in the said borough, known as Grehan Road, commencing at the town boundary, and running in a westerly direction generally to its junction with Lavaud Street.

Also all that portion of street in the said borough, known as Rue Balgueri, commencing at the town boundary, and running in a north-westerly direction generally to the water-front (Daly’s Wharf).

Also all that street in the said borough, known as Selwyn Street, commencing at its junction with Church Street, and running in a south-westerly direction to its junction with Jolie Street.

As the said streets and portions of streets are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 31405, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.

Exempting Cremorne Street, in the City of Auckland, from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908.

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the above-in-part-recited Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the said resolution.

ALL that street in the City of Auckland, known as Cremorne Street, commencing at its junction with Argyle Street, and running in a northerly direction to the beach on Waitemata Harbour to the westward of Ponsonby Wharf ; as the said street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 31806, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Extension of Time for Preparation of County Rolls, &c., County of Mackenzie.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of June, 1912.

Present :

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS it has been made to appear that the preparation of the rolls for the County of Mackenzie, and the taking of certain steps consequent on such preparation, cannot be made and taken within the times mentioned in the Counties Act, 1908, and it is expedient to extend the said times respectively :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the said Counties Act, 1908, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the several dates mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall be the respective dates for taking the several steps set out in the said Schedule.
