Sections 1, 18, 19, and 20, Block IV, Crookston District.—Situated about a mile from Rae’s Junction Post-office, and about eighteen miles from Lawrence Railway-station. Light inferior land, with a good aspect; fairly well watered; not suitable for cultivation.

Run 24A and Sections 10, 11, and 13, Block IV, Kuriwao District.—Situated from five to six miles from Clinton Railway-station. Very fair country, carrying a good native tussock; well watered; elevation up to 2,000 ft. Approximate valuation for improvements, £75. Improvements consist of some five miles of boundary fencing.

Runs 464 and 11A.—Pastoral country, running from 1,000 ft. to 2,900 ft. above sea-level. The lower portion is rough, with manuka and bush; but the upper portion is good, sweet, sheep-country, fairly grassed with snow-grass, white tussock, and the fine grasses, with warm faces and sheltered basins; well watered. Access by road, mostly formed but steep in parts, from Wainakarua Railway-station about five miles. Approximate valuation for improvements, £275. The improvements consist of fencing and drafting-yards.

Run 217B.—Fair pastoral country, comprising long spurs rising from an altitude of about 1,000 ft. to Mount Stalker, 3,244 ft., with fair proportion of warm and cold aspect. The native grass is mostly snow-grass, the finer grasses having run out; but two-thirds of the run has been surface-sown recently, and the results are now becoming apparent. The present pastoral licensee is entitled to valuation for such surface-sowing, as provided by sections 237 and 244 of the Land Act, 1908. Access by road, partly formed and gravelled, from Maheno Railway-station, the distance being about fourteen miles. Approximate valuation for improvements (exclusive of surface-sown grass), £700. Improvements consist of hut, yards, and about twenty miles of boundary and internal fencing.

Run 328A.—Pastoral country, running from 2,500 ft. to 4,700 ft. above sea-level. Summer country, lying open to south-west; but well grassed and watered. Distance from Waikai Railway-station seventeen miles, twelve of which are formed, the remainder being hillside track. Approximate valuation for improvements, £15.

Run 510.—Good pastoral well-grassed country, running from 1,500 ft. to 5,000 ft. above sea-level, with fair proportion of winter to summer country, and a good general aspect; well watered. Access by Dansey’s Pass Road from Tokarahi Railway-station, fifteen miles. Nearest school, telephone, and post-office at Livingstone, distant eight miles. Approximate valuation for improvements, £375. Improvements consist of wool-shed, hut, dip, yards, water laid on, and about 532 chains of boundary and internal fencing.

Runs 346B and 346C, and Sections 34 to 38, Block II, and 9 to 17, Block III, Dart District.—Warm pastoral hill-country carrying tussock, with patches of fern and scrub; well watered. Altitude, 1,100 ft. to 4,548 ft. Access by formed and gravelled road from Glenorchy (where there is a school and post and telephone office), the distance being six miles. Approximate valuation for improvements, £115. Improvements consist of fencing, hut, clearing, and surface-sowing.

Sections 76 and 77, Block IV, Table Hill District.—Light inferior land, with a westerly aspect; watered. Situated within a mile of Manuka Creek School, post-office, and railway-station. Approximate valuation for improvements, £120. Improvements consist of fencing and grass-sowing.

Run 514.—Dry, terrace land, mostly of a shingly nature. Altitude, about 1,000 ft. above sea-level. Distant about three miles from Hawea Flat Post-office, and about the same from Pembroke Post-office, by good roads. Approximate valuation for improvements, £180. Improvements consist of fencing, yards, and dip.
