THE following resolution, made by the Onslow Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

ONSLLOW BOROUGH COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, the Onslow Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £150, authorized to be raised by the Onslow Borough Council, under section 23 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, for the completion of the providing and furnishing of a public hall in and for the benefit of the Khandallah Ward of the borough, and the expenses incidental thereto, in respect of which a loan of £1,500 has already been raised, the Onslow Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/32 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the special-rating area comprising the Khandallah Ward of the Borough of Onslow; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 30th day of June and the 31st day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period ending on the 1st day of January, 1948, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed at a properly constituted meeting of the Onslow Borough Council held on Thursday, the 16th day of May, 1912.

The proposals are therefore hereby declared to be duly carried.

WAIIUKU ROAD DISTRICT.
Notice of Result of Poll on the Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Packington to Mauku Road and “The Needles” Wharf and Road Special-rating Area, Waiuku Road District, was taken on the 16th day of May, 1912, on the proposal of the Waiuku Road Board to borrow the sum of £850 for the purpose of metalling the Packington to Mauku Road, and the erection of a wharf at “The Needles,” and the construction of a road thereto, the said loan to be allocated as follows: £700 for metalling the Packington to Mauku Road, and £150 for the erection of “The Needles” Wharf and construction of a road thereto.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 29. The number of votes recorded against the proposal was nil.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
