Bounded towards the north-west by the North Island Main Trunk Road, 216 links; towards the north-east by Uwha Road, 316·9 links; and towards the south-west by Section 2 of said Block V, 231·9 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1912/366, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this seventeenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twelve.

Land temporarily reserved for a Rifle Range in Block VI, Hunua Survey District, Wellington Land District.


ISLINGTON, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Wellington Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for a rifle range.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that land in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 90 acres, more or less, being Section 29, Block VI, Hunua Survey District. Commencing at the south-east corner of Section 12, a recreation reserve, bounded towards the north by Section 12; towards the west by Crown land, 200 links; towards the south generally by Crown lands and the crossing of a road, 4462·5 links, 246·7 links, 259·65 links, 307·35 links, 526·75 links, 563·6 links, 387·45 links, 400·3 links, 393·4 links, 547·3 links, 652·45 links, 379 links, 334·8 links, 309·1 links, 400·5 links, and 1860 links, to a road and river bank reserve 1 chain wide along the western bank of the Whakapapa River; towards the east and again towards the north generally by that road and river bank reserve, by a road and river bank reserve 1 chain wide along the south bank of the Wanganui River, and by Crown land and the crossing of a public road to the place of commencement: save and except that portion of a public road which intersects the area: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5538/4, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Lands temporarily reserved in the Town of Lowther, Southland Land District.


ISLINGTON, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or par-

ticular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Southland Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods, more or less, being Sections 7 and 8, Block XXI, Town of Lowther. Bounded towards the north-east by Sections 6 and 9 in the said block, 501·2 links; towards the south-east by Swansea Street, 100 links; towards the south-west by Wentworth Street, 501·1 links; and towards the north-west by main north road, 100 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For railway purposes.

Also all that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres and 1 perch, more or less, being Sections 1, 2, 3, 12, 13, and 14, Block XXI, Town of Lowther. Bounded towards the north-east by Elizabeth Street, 501·8 links; towards the south-east by Swansea Street, 600 links; towards the south-west by Sections 11 and 4 in the said block, 501·5 links; and towards the north-west by main north road, 600 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For railway purposes.

Also all that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 3 roods 38 perches, more or less, being Sections 1, 2, and 3, Block XX, Town of Lowther. Bounded towards the north-east by Elizabeth Street, 373 links; towards the south-east by the main north road, 600 links; towards the south-west by Section 4 in the said block, 288·7 links; and towards the north-west by a public road, 606 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For railway purposes.

Also all that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 4 acres 37 perches, more or less, being Section 1, Block XI, Town of Lowther. Bounded towards the north-east by Elizabeth Street, 650·7 links; towards the south-east by Section 4 in the said block, 650 links; towards the south-west by Section 2 in the said block, 650·7 links; and towards the north-west by Swansea Street, 650 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For railway purposes.

As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. 51552/6, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Also all that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being Sections 7 and 8, Block XXII, Town of Lowther. Bounded towards the north-east by Sections 6 and 9 in the said block, 500·5 links; towards the south-east by Swansea Street, 200·1 links; towards the south-west by Belfast Street, 500·5 links; and towards the north-west by main north road, 200 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 51552/6, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured green. For gravel purposes.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this seventeenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twelve.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

And whereas by the three-hundred-and-twenty-second section of the said Act it is provided that land temporarily reserved under the said three-hundred-and-twenty-first section may, at the expiration of one month but not later than six months after the publication in the Gazette of notice of such temporary reservation, be permanently reserved, and that notice of such permanent reservation shall be published in the Gazette:

And whereas the lands specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto were, by the Warrants the dates of which are specified in the third column of the said Schedule, and the notifications of which were published in the Gazettes specified in the fourth column, temporarily reserved under the authority of the said Act for the purposes specified in the second column of the said Schedule:

Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby permanently
