Defining the Middle-line of the Raetihi Branch of the North Island Main Trunk Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the Raetihi Branch of the North Island Main Trunk Railway (hereinafter termed “the said railway”) is a railway the construction of which is authorized by the Railways Authorization Act, 1911: And whereas it has been determined to construct and maintain the said railway:
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and in exercise of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of the said railway shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
COMMENCING at a point in the North Island Main Trunk Railway Reserve, Block V, Karioi Survey District, marked 85 m. 19 c., and proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly direction for a distance of about 1 mile 45 chains, thence in a westerly direction for about 6 miles 39 chains, and thence in a north-westerly direction for a distance of about 36 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands—viz., railway reserve, Sections 23, 24, 26, 29, 31, 33, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 42, 59, 41, 40, 56, and 57, Block V, Karioi Survey District, Borough of Ohakune; Section 28 (scenic reserve), Block VIII, Makotuku Survey District, Borough of Ohakune; Sections 38, 41, 37, 36, 35, 34, 33, 32, 31, 49, and 50, Suburbs Borough of Ohakune, Block VIII, Makotuku Survey District; Sections 2, 4, 5, and 6, Block VIII, Makotuku Survey District; Subdivisions No. 2B1B, 2B2A, 2B2B, 2B No. 3 of Raetihi Block, Block VIII, Makotuku Survey District; and Raetihi No. 1 Block, Block VIII, Makotuku Survey District; and terminating at a point in the said Raetihi No. 1 Block, marked 8 m. 40 c.: including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, rivers, streams, and watercourses: all in the Wellington Land District: as the same is delineated on the plans marked P.W.D. 31519 and 31687, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twelve.

Land taken for a Road in Block X, Awaroa Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, for a certain public work, to wit, for the purposes of a road in Block X, Awaroa Survey District:
And whereas all the conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed and performed:
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the eighth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a further portion of the Picton-Hurunui Railway (part of Parnassus Section):
And whereas all the conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purposes hereinafter specified have been observed and performed:
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a further portion of the aforesaid line of railway.
