Declaring Land reserved under the Land Act, 1892, for the Preservation of Scenery to be a Scenic Reserve under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto was by Warrant dated the twenty-third day of June, one thousand nine hundred and seven, permanently reserved for the preservation of scenery under the provisions of the Land Act, 1892: And whereas it is expedient that the said land should be declared a reserve under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908:

Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1910, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, from and after the date hereof, be a scenic reserve under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, and its amendments.

SCHEDULE.

MARBLE HILL SCENIC RESERVE.

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 408 acres, more or less, being Section 6, Block III, Lewis Survey District, as described in Warrant dated the 23rd June, 1907, published on page 1934 of the Gazette No. 55 of the 27th June, 1907.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this fourteenth day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twelve.

Revoking the Reservation over Portion of a Scenic Reserve in the Wellington Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by Proclamation dated the sixteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and seven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the eighteenth day of the same month, certain land in the Wellington Land District was set apart as a reserve under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1903, and its amendments:

And whereas part of the land so set apart is no longer suitable for scenic purposes by reason of the destruction of the forest thereon:

And whereas the reservation over an area of three roods (being part of the said reserve) was revoked by Proclamation dated the thirtieth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, published on page 3009 of the Gazette of the twelfth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and eleven:

And whereas it is expedient to revoke the reservation over a larger area of the said reserve (including the aforesaid area of three roods):

Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by section eight of the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1910, do hereby revoke the said reservation over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 6 acres, more or less, being formerly part of Section 9, Block IX, Hunua Survey District, but now known as Section 10, Block IX, Hunua Survey District. Bounded towards the south generally by the Pokatea-Kokokanui Road, 150 links, 400 links, and 145 links; towards the west by the remaining part of Section No. 9; 400 links; towards the north generally by a stream; and towards the east generally by the Pokatea Stream: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 77/17, deposited in the
