WHEREAS the Helensville Town Board lately proposed to raise a special loan of £10,000, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the amendments thereof, for the purpose of providing drainage and a water-supply for the Helensville Town District:
And whereas the provisions of section eleven of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, as amended by section three of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, require that the poll of the ratepayers upon the proposal to raise the said loan shall be taken at a date not more than three weeks from the last publication of the notice mentioned in section eight of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908:

And whereas it appears that the ratepayers of the Helensville Town District have not been misled by the aforesaid irregularities, and it is expedient to validate the aforesaid proceedings:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section one hundred and twenty-one of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and section seven of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby validate the aforesaid ballot-papers and the aforesaid poll; and doth hereby order and declare that the said poll shall be and be deemed to have been as valid and effectual for all intents and purposes as if the same had been taken not less than one week and not more than three weeks from the date of the last publication of the aforesaid notice, and the ballot-papers used at the said poll had been in the form numbered one in the Second Schedule of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and that the proceedings in connection with the said loan shall not be called in question by reason only of the irregularities aforesaid.
