Notice of Intention to take Land in Block XI, Whakatane Survey District, for Scenic Purposes.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, and the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1910, to take for scenic purposes the land described in the Schedule hereto. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Taneatua, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block X, Rotoiti Survey District, for the Purposes of a Native School.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute a certain public work. to wit, the construction of a Native School in Block X, Rotoiti Survey District, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Te Ngae, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington.

Declaring a certain Area added to County of Mackenzie to be included in a Riding to be called Opuha Riding.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the twenty-fifth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-third day of November, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, the Governor in Council, in pursuance of section sixteen of the Counties Act, 1908, approved an agreement between the Councils of the Counties of Mackenzie and Geraldine for the alteration of the boundaries of the said counties by including within the Mackenzie County the area known as the Opuha Road District as described in a special order made by the Geraldine County Council and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-second day of September, one thousand nine hundred and ten, at page 3455: And whereas it is desirable that the area so added to the Mackenzie County should be included in a riding of that county to be known as the Opuha Riding:
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section twenty-two of the Counties Act, 1908, do hereby declare that the area included as aforesaid in the Mackenzie County and described in the Schedule hereto shall be included in a riding of the said county to be known as the Opuha Riding.
SCHEDULE.
BOUNDARIES OF OPUHA RIDING.
All that area in Mackenzie County bounded towards the north and east generally by Geraldine County from Forest Creek to the confluence of the Opuha and Opihi Rivers; thence towards the south-west by Levels County and Fairlie Riding of Mackenzie County to the summit of the Two-thumb Range; thence towards the west generally by Tekapo Riding of Mackenzie County to Ashburton County; and thence by Ashburton County to the place of commencement.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twelve.
