Land temporarily reserved for Gravel Purposes in Pukete Parish, Auckland Land District.


ISLINGTON, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned :

Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for gravel purposes.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 2 perches, more or less, being Allotment 262A, Pukete Parish. Bounded towards the north by a public road 100 links wide, 515 links; towards the east by a public road 100 links wide, 400 links; and towards the south-west by a public road 100 links wide, 660 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less : as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1912/379, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland Plan 8231, red.)

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-third day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twelve.

Part of Lake Rotomahana declared a Sanctuary for Imported and Native Game.


ISLINGTON, Governor.

PURSUANT to the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be a sanctuary for the purposes of the said Animals Protection Act, and that no imported game or native game shall be taken or killed within the said area.


SCHEDULE.

A RADIUS of one mile from the end of the Tarawera Wharf, on Lake Rotomahana.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this thirtieth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twelve.

Amended Notification respecting Shooting Season for Imported and Native Game, Rotorua Acclimatization District.


ISLINGTON, Governor.

WHEREAS it is expedient to amend, in manner hereinafter provided, the notification made under the Animals Protection Act, 1908, dated the twentieth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-fourth day of the said month of April :

Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify that the following native gameβ€”viz., grey duckβ€”may not, from the date of the publication hereof to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, be killed on Lake Rotomahana, the said lake being part of the Rotorua Acclimatization District.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this thirtieth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twelve.
