Withdrawing Land from the Operation of the Kauri-gum Industry Acts.
ISLINGTON, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this eighteenth day of December, 1911.

PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section thirty-three of the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may by Order in Council declare that land set apart under the said Act as a kauri-gum reserve, and which is no longer required for the purpose of gum-digging, shall be no longer subject to the said Act, and thereupon the land shall cease to be a kauri-gum reserve, and shall be dealt with by the Land Board as ordinary Crown land; provided that such Order in Council shall only be issued in pursuance of a resolution of the Land Board, supported by such independent evidence as the Governor in Council deems necessary :
And whereas the Land Board of the Auckland Land District passed a resolution recommending that the portion of Te Mata Kauri-gum Reserve Extension No. 2, described in the Schedule hereto, be declared to be no longer subject to the said Act, and such resolution was duly gazetted and publicly notified in accordance with section nine of the Kauri-gum Industry Amendment Act, 1910 : And whereas no objection has been received to the said proposal :
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section thirty-three of the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908, and section nine of the Kauri-gum Industry Amendment Act, 1910, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the portion of Te Mata Kauri-gum Reserve Extension No. 2, described in the Schedule hereto, shall be no longer subject to the provisions of the Acts aforesaid.
SCHEDULE.
All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less, situated in Block VI, Hukerenui Survey District, being part of Te Mata Kauri-gum Reserve Extension No. 2, set apart by Order in Council dated 21st August, 1899, and published in New Zealand Gazette No. 71, of 24th August, 1899, page 1556. Bounded towards the north by Section 51, Block VI, Hukerenui Survey District, 1272 links; towards the west by the aforesaid section, 472 links; towards the north-east by a public road, 925 and 79 links; towards the east by Section 8, Block VI aforesaid, 10374 links; towards the south by Section 8 aforesaid and by Section 4 of Block VI aforesaid, 1372 links; and towards the west by Section 4 aforesaid, 7004 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1285/20A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, situated in Block VIII, Motatau Survey District, containing by admeasurement 50 acres, more or less, being a part of the Hukerenui Extension Kauri-gum Reserve set apart by Order in Council dated 12th April, 1899, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 13th April, 1899, page 756. Bounded towards the north by Section 16 of Block VIII, Motatau Survey District, 20745 links; towards the east by Section 23 of Block VIII aforesaid, 32286 links; towards the south and west by part of the Hukerenui Extension Kauri-gum Reserve, 2000 and 2600 links respectively: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 56982/6, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
