At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this thirteenth day of January, 1912.

WHEREAS by subsection (a) of section one hundred and thirty-three of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is enacted that a local authority shall not declare any county road or district road to be stopped, and such road shall not be deemed to be stopped, until the consent thereto of the Governor by Order in Council gazetted is obtained :
And whereas the Wallace County Council has applied for such consent in respect to the roads described in the Schedule hereto :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the above-mentioned Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the closing of the roads mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be a county road.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that road in the Wellington Land District, Pahiatua County, known as Girdwood Road, commencing at its junction with the Palmerston-Pahiatua Road, and proceeding thence in a northerly and then north-easterly direction, adjoining Sections 122, 123, 138, and 137, situated in Block VII, Mangahao Survey District, and terminating at the south-eastern corner of the said Section 137, all in the Makaretu Village Settlement, being a distance of 60 chains, more or less; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 30908, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.

Declaring Mangatera Village Settlement Roads, in Dannevirke County, to be County Roads.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this thirteenth day of January, 1912.
