Resolutions made by the Te Rapa Drainage Board.

THE following resolutions, made by the Te Rapa Drainage Board, are published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

TE RAPA DRAINAGE BOARD.

THAT the resolution passed on the 29th of February, 1912, and confirmed at a meeting held 2nd March, 1912, be rescinded and the following resolution be passed :—

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Te Rapa Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows : That, for the purpose of providing instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £800, authorized to be raised by the Te Rapa Drainage Board, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, for the purpose of forming and constructing drains, the said Te Rapa Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1½d. in the pound on land classified A, 1d. in the pound on land classified B, and ½d. in the pound on land classified C, upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Te Rapa Drainage Board comprised in the new area in the Whatawhata District set forth in the New Zealand Gazette of 1st December, 1911 (to be known as No. 3 area); and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of November and the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

This resolution was passed at a meeting of the Te Rapa Drainage Board held in Hamilton on 4th April, 1912.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Te Rapa Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows : That, for the purpose of providing instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £1,200, authorized to be raised by the Te Rapa Drainage Board, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, for improving existing drains and providing new ones, the said Te Rapa Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1½d. in the pound on land classified A, 1d. in the pound on land classified B, and ½d. in the pound on land classified C, upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Te Rapa Drainage District ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st days of November and May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above resolution was passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Te Rapa Drainage Board held at Hamilton on the 13th April, 1912.

Resolution made by the Council of the County of Levels.

THE following resolution, made by the Levels County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

LEVELS COUNTY COUNCIL.

Resolution making Special Rate.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, the Levels County Council hereby resolves as follows : That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,000, authorized to be raised by the Levels County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of completing the erection of a ferro-concrete bridge over the Opihi River at Arowhenna, the said Levels County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·006d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Levels County, comprising the whole of the County of the Levels ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Levels County Council held on the 3rd day of April, 1912.

Authorizing the Laying-off of Station Avenue, Dunkerron Avenue, and Highwic Avenue, in the Town of Remuera Extension No. 15, of a Width of not less than 66 ft.

Department of Lands and Survey,
Wellington, 3rd April, 1912.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section 15 of the Land Act, 1908, I hereby authorize the laying-off of Station Avenue, Dunkerron Avenue, and Highwic Avenue, in the Town of Remuera Extension No. 15, Auckland Land District, of a width of not less than 66 ft. instead of 99 ft.

Additional By-laws made by the Egmont National Park Board.—Notice No. 1595.

IT is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor has, in terms of section 10 of the Egmont National Park Act, 1900, approved the following additional by-laws made by the Egmont National Park Board on 22nd December, 1910.

ADDITIONAL BY-LAWS.

BY-LAW number 14 is hereby rescinded, and the following by-law made in lieu thereof :—

  1. Any person who uses threatening, abusive, indecent, or insulting language in any house or cottage under the control of the Board, or within hearing of any person or persons being at, near, or within any such house or cottage, or in such houses or cottages, or in the vicinity of same, behaves in a noisy, improper, or disorderly manner, or obstructs or interferes with the caretaker in the performance of his duties, shall be guilty of an offence under these by-laws.

  2. All persons visiting the park and using the houses and cottages under the control of the Board shall keep clean all utensils, bunks, and bedrooms used by them, and leave the same clean and in good order; and, in the case of houses or cottages in respect of which the Board does not provide a caretaker, shall keep all the premises clean, and on their departure shall leave the same in a clean and orderly condition and make good all damage done.

  3. The caretaker of the Mountain House may prohibit dancing or singing within the said house, and the continuing of such dancing or singing by any person after the same has been prohibited by the caretaker shall be deemed to be an offence under these by-laws.

  4. All lights in the houses or cottages under the control of the Board shall be extinguished by 11 o’clock each night, unless in the case of illness.

  5. No person shall, without the written consent of the chairman, take into or carry within the park any gun or firearm, or take into or carry therein any net, engine, instrument, or other device which may be used for the taking or destruction of any bird or animal, or take or permit to be taken into the said park any dog; and any dog found therein may, subject to the direction of the chairman of the Board, be destroyed by any such member or ranger.

  6. Any person who commits any breach of any of these by-laws is liable to a penalty not exceeding £5.
